Bumped baby’s head quite hard... she’s cried for about 30 seconds, fed and seemed fine. It’s her nap time and she’s gone to sleep.... is this ok? I feel terrible and not sure what to do or if she needs to be looked at?

If I was you when she wakes up go to the a&e and do a check up just to make sure she is ok

My lg bumped her head once and she was fine but I felt bad and worried for ages...phoned the doctor later and said if she's behaving fine she's fine...also got a leaflet emailed to me by midwife ( I phoned everyone lbs)what to look out for do you want me to email it to you? Xx

Call 111 for advice x

As long as she has not lost consciousness then just monitor her. If she starts vomiting, fitting, or doesn’t wake up when you try and rouse her then take her to A&E.

Babies tend to sleep more after a bang to the head, I would call 111 (my lo hit her head on my partners glasses after he fell down the stairs holding her) and they just transferred us through to a walk-in clinic triage phone line and they ask questions over the phone to determine whether they should go in or not. I wouldn’t go to a&e until you’ve spoken to them with everything that’s going on and the staff will be thinly stretched xx

I’m not going to lie my little one (at 9.5 months old) fell and hit his head and a bump and bruise came up right away (which is a good sign) I just monitored him as I knew that’s what we would be told to do. X
