Does anyone else just poke their baby bump just to see if something will happen? Or is that weird.

Lol I do but nothing ever happens

Wait till you’re about 30 weeks, you’ll be begging it to stop happening! 😂

@Danielle, I'm glad someone said it! When I'm trying to sleep (currently 34 weeks) I'm laying awake thinking "man, I love this kid SO MUCH already, but damn do I miss the days when I couldnt feel her move" 😂😂

lmfao me! whenever i want to take a video of kicks i poke my belly

I love interacting with baby! I don’t poke now that she’s bigger, but I’ll rub my belly and have a chat and she gets active! Sometimes if I just rest my arm or hand on my belly she’ll give it a kick 😂

I poke mine all the time 😂 it’s getting to where I can kinda tell if it’s a butt or a knee or a foot or something. It’s so cool! He always gets moving when I push him out of my ribs 😬

Mine wont stop moving I have to gently like push my stomach just so baby can stop moving for a bit, feels like I’m growing a village the movements are all over sometimes I’m pretty sure baby kicks and punches at the same time because I feel and see movements on either side of my tummy at the same time and sometimes baby rolls over in my tummy and my stomach sticks out it’s so weird this all started when I was about 20weeks I’m 26 weeks now but I had movement already from about 16/17 weeks. I absolutely love when baby moves I interact with it like this so when it moves I gently press in the same area and it’s like high fiving each other, it’s definitely my favourite thing so far that’s happened.

Lol I do and feel guilty when baby has kicked back like “sorry to disturb you “ 😂

I have found if I rest my hands on my belly she normally kicks back or turns over. My neice used to poke my belly and belly button all time telling baby to wake up! My partner puts his hands on and she barely moves. I think she knows difference as daddys hands are bigger and warmer, so she might be like cuddling. Whereas me she's like mum gerroff I'm trying to be comfy 😭🤣

I shine my phone light on my belly 😂🤣

How do i make my baby move more? I love it but he only started doing it a week ago and its always evening night time 😂

Avatar

Yup lol when we had our 12 week scan the sonographer poked my belly because she needed baby to move positions, so ever since I saw her do it, my husband and I do it all the time 😂 I think I scared baby by starting the blender this morning. I hadn't felt her yet and as soon as I turned it on, she was like WOAH, that's loud! Lol

I have a feeling like I might get attacked from this but I’m going to say it anyways. incognito 🥸 GLP1s being mainstream for regular people who are NOT diabetic or morbidly obese is bad for so many reasons 💉💉💉

Side affects, long term dependency, supply shortages and costs, regaining the weight back as soon as you get off them.. all that ASIDE how do people not see just from a zoomed out perspective how crazy it is. I can’t imagine being someone facing food insecurity in an underdeveloped country and watching westerners give themselves daily jabs so they can lose weight while still eating a calorie surplus/ crappy foods. It’s giving hunger games when district 12 Katniss finds out at the party at the capital that people eat and then take a pill to make themselves sick so they can 🤮 and eat some more. These ads running ozempic everywhere are disgusting, and then getting amazing athletes like Serena Williams to push them talking bout “i’ve never been healthier” girl you were an OLYMPIC athlete wym??

Tips for babies with wind issues

My 5 week old has always had issues bringing up all his wind. When he’s laying on his back, he’s always grunting in pain to the point he cries and wakes himself up.

Spoke with a qualified physio who’s also qualified in baby massage and she said try concentric circles on baby. Small circles with a little pressure on their right (your left when facing you) from the bottom of their tummy up to their ribs and then going to the other side and doing the same. Then do the usual leg exercises with them (bicycle kicks, air squats, rotating them side to side etc)

I’ve also found this really helps doing it on my LBs back. I either use my thumb or two fingers when he’s up against me. I do both sides from bottom to top in small circles. He moves around and makes the grunting noises when I first do it but burps come out and after about 4/5 times he stops moving around or grunting at all and it’s meant he’s actually slept on his back and not had to cosleep!
