That makes lots of sense.
They are to prevent baby from scratching themselves... i wondered the same thing too and one of the onesies i bought had a tag that explained it 😂 i was like oooo okayyyy

I wish they'd put it on all tags for new moms
Yep you flip it over and it becomes a mitten. Prevents baby from scratching their face.
Just for little snacks for later & some quarters for gum balls😂😂💀

🤣 careful, baby is going to have bits of beef jerky sitting in there. 😆
I love these things! I lost so many mittens with my oldest.. along with socks. Whoever came up with this is a genius!

Im pleased to learn what they're for. I was confused
Unless ur baby has long fingers like mine 😂🤣😂 she would always have fist in.
Mittens
Pretty everyone said it but fold and the baby has mittens. These were my favorite. The individual mittens babies usually take them off.
Also on baby vests the overlap design at the neck allows you to pull it down over shoulders instead if over the head if your baby has an explosive nappy 👍 so useful!

I understand I wasn’t making fun of you :) I didn’t know this before I worked in child care
Kay but i didn't know that they were for flipping over. This is my first baby.
Hey
Built in scratch mitts ☺️
I think post baby, even pre baby some people can be a bit sensitive.. I dont think the sleeve thing is a big deal, i used to think it was a cuff. For fashion. 🤣 🤣 🤣 Then the CNA at the pediatrician's office with my first flipped them over because my daughter was scratching me and she was trying to help. Did I feel dumb? Of course! I even went a step further and got annoyed at the woman just flipping them over. I was overreacting. All I thought was; " who the hell told this bit*h to touch my baby, and her sleeve! Fu*kin bit*h" Granted, I was 19 at the time and thought I knew everything from two baby books. Its a learning curve for everyone having a baby. Please take it with a grain of salt.

I am 24 now, and this is my first baby. I didn't know and you guys didn't answer my question at first you were joking that it was for snacks (which i know it isnt). I know what it is now. Plenty of comments
Also my haha was just laughing at all the things I’ve been confused at. Not at the question. I just had my first 7 months ago and figure out new weird things all the time. Like the yellow stripe on babies diaper turns blue when it’s wet....I never even noticed that it changed😂 I think also the being exhausted and over tired doesn’t help. I had baby brain so bad that I was standing at my front door clicking my car key clicker wondering why it wasn’t working 🤣 and showed up to my job 30 minutes early one morning thinking tht was the time I was suppose to be there even though I had been there 10 months and had the same hours every morning 😂 but definitely don’t feel bad not knowing little things like that....I’m just jealous we don’t have shirts like that lol

When I was allowed to start driving after my c/s. I went out with my baby. I was wondering, "why isn't my car locking" when I was pressing the lock button on the fob. I turned around and two of my car doors were still open. 🤦♀️
Haha 🤣🤣 I love this!! I called them pockets too when I had my first 8 years ago! Best thing invented as he didn't keep his scratch mits on! Now we're expecting our second and Im excited to actually use them! 🤣 Don't worry about how others comment its not worth it were not all "super mums" as they think they are, you'll learn as you go I certainly did and I was a qualified nursery worker! X
Built in mittens to stop them scratching their face
They turn into mittens :)
They are to make them mittens. So the baby won’t scratch the face . So fold them over there hands
It’s ok to ask, we can’t know everything as first time mothers. Their like mittens to prevent baby from scratching. Congratulations on baby and good luck hun xx
Flip them up to create a mitten
I have had 4 babies and I.....never knew this 😂😂
So you can fold them over their little hands. Helps to keep them from scratching themselves. 💕
They're like mittens attached to their baby clothes so they can't pull them off hahaha... Revolutionary x

Omg I absolutely love this question. This took me back to when I was expecting my first child. 💕💕💕5 kids later I seem to still have questions. Let’s you know the question never stops. Congratulations
They’re mittens. You just flip them over on the baby’s hands and your good to go. I actually find these more helpful then the actual mittens.
My boy is 8 months old and I still use them because it’s cold at night now it keeps his hands warm 🥰 after the 6-12 month sizing most brands stop putting the mittens on them though 😩
My daughter is 3.5 months and I use them when she goes to bed because she has a habit of scratching her face during the night.
Yes!! These are amazing I literally only got clothes that had these built in mittens, I didn’t get any regular baby mittens one more thing for me to lose to the sock/wash monster🤣
They aren’t pockets dear 😅 I thought the same thing when I first saw those!
They are to make mittens you fold them over silly
I wish they made for teethers instead my 6 month old is always knawing on her hands they only make them on 0-3 months
Mittens! Fold em down
Its mittens
😂😂😂😂
They're built in mittens You fold them over babys hands so they can't scratch themselves
They are also great when you are breast feeding because some times little hands like to scratch or grab onto your sensitive skin. Baby nails are like claws!

Uhm... yeah... but some mothers suffer from server pain when breast feeding that causes them to cry in pain just from the latch, and baby nails grabbing down on the sensitive skin make it nearly impossible. Trust me, I cried many nights over this, begged God to take this issue from me that has followed me with each baby. I know I am not alone in this. For some of us we do our best with what we can for our babies. Those little pockets were a life saver until the latch pain grew so great over the months that I had to switch to only pumping. Sad but true, still I enjoyed nursing my baby however i could until it ended
Built in mittens most baby grows have them xx
They are mittens I never used them as it reduces senses in babies hands
