Lets talk about diapers

I am trying to find a good diaper to hold the pee and not have it rip up.. preferably I am looking for ones that come in BIG boxes like 90+ (i don't like having to keep going to the store) my son walks, run? Jumps. I believe he is in the stage right before pull ups.. any diaper recommendations? Or what worked for you mums? What are you mums using on your LOs (Little Ones)?? Please Share

The pampers brand has been good for me since my son was a newborn, he will be 3 in January.

I looove Huggies Little Movers. Once I started potty training I used the Little Movers Pull-Ups version. I used those during the day, and the regular ones at night and nap time. Never had any issues šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

We love Up & Ups from Target. Very affordable and absorb faster than any other diaper tested.

But also, everyone is going to have a different answer for you. It’s a hit and miss with each kid.

Avatar

Have you tried Lidl nappies, I love themā¤ļø and there so cheap!

Avatar

My son has been using BJ’s brand diapers since he was born and they’re great! Affordable too

Avatar

Nah hands down HUGGIES IS THE BEST! I USE LITTLE SNUGGLERS!

Avatar

I used targets up and up brand for my son. They were very affordable and worked well when the huggies didn’t (huggies just fit different on him). Otherwise it was pampers. That was a few years ago. For my daughter I am also using up and up and I’ve used hello bello too

Avatar

I use hello bello! My son is sensitive to almost every other brand. We were making a special trip to walmart for rascal & friends. I love that I get the hello bello delivered, super fast shipping, and the cute designs!

Avatar

We use Parents Choice. We tried Pampers, Kirkland and Honest company and they work by far the best for our little super soaker šŸ˜‚. Prices might be different but where we live we got a 210 pack from Walmart.

Avatar

We love Huggies!

Avatar

Huggies little snuggles we get it bulk from Costco

Avatar

I love love love Honest diapers. My daughter is five months old and we’ve probably had only about 3-4 blowouts since she’s been born

Avatar

We have been cloth diapering through 2 children and 3 years. We love it! It takes a few tries to figure out what works for you, but we haven’t had a leak since each babe was a few months old.

Avatar

Aldi diapers work well 60 diapers for 11.99

Avatar

Huggies for the win!

Avatar

I LOVE Sam’s Club brand diapers!

Avatar

We love Honest Diapers! We buy the big packs on Amazon!

Avatar

As for nappies only pampers. With other nappies she has nappy rush

Avatar

Parents choice worked better than anything for us. They are a bit wider than some brands. They work great on chubby babies. They are also one of the cheapest diapers out there.

Avatar

Huggies special delivery are my fave. I order from Amazon. Can’t go wrong.

Avatar

Another vote for Honest diapers! They are the best for stopping any leaks. We haven’t had one in our sons lifetime yet and he just turned one. If Honest is too pricey, I would recommend Huggies SPECIAL DELIVERY as an alternative.

Avatar

We've had good luck with Kirkland brand from Costco, but my LO is 10months and not moving much yet. We also do cloth diapers most of the time.

Avatar

Kirkland is never a fail but is it just me or based on size the price increases?

Avatar

I like the sound of discount

Avatar

I love rascall and friends diapers & pull-ups , the best I’ve ever used .. I have 3 kiddos my oldest is 8 they never had that brand back then .. they are absorbent, free of chemicals , soft , comfortable.. hands down my favourite and the price is really affordable . Walmart sells them :)

Avatar

ā€œDypersā€ are great!! They’re a bit more expensive, but for a suppper active baby ( even in their sleep ) they seem to hold up well compared to all the other brands tried (honest, pampers, signature, bamboo nature). They’re delivered and you can order 1 month worth or more at a time! Be sure to ask for the 50% off for first box if you go with them.

Avatar

I'm using reusable nappies with my second and the bambino mio nappy wraps are fantastic at containing everything. Initial cost is a bit more expensive but if you get enough of them, you don't have to keep worrying about running out. After having used disposables with my first, I dont think I could go back to them now

Avatar

I recommend Pampers. - Do you have a Costco Membership? I use the Kirkland diapers and they’re decent.

Avatar

Huggies Little Movers are our go to because of how well they stay together and how much they hold!

Avatar

I love the Huggies brand

Avatar

We use honest. The other kinds made him get a rash. Honest has been great for us

Avatar

I have never had a problem with pampers nights

Avatar

I just found the pampers night time diapers and love them she doesn’t know she’s wet and they seem to be pretty great honest is pretty good to oh and if you do pampers do the swaddlers the cruisers are not my favorite

Avatar

Huggies little movers for sure. It's got extra bands on it to keep it closed. My daughter scoots on her butt and they hold up really well to that!

Avatar

I actually LOVE the target up and up brand! Big boxes for a good price and they seem to stand up really well to everything and hold a lot all night!

Avatar

Costco

Avatar

I use a bamboo brand called Dyper and they ship your monthly box to your door. So every month you get 250 or less depending on how big your little one is.
I adore them. Never had rashes and they don’t rip up when soiled.

Avatar

Pampers at Sams! I scan the codes too to get discounts

Avatar

I personally prefer cloth diapering, my daughters 1 and already learning to potty train. But if I were to choose a disposable, Honest brand would have been my second choice.. They are eco friendly and a great choice for many mothers

Avatar

Pampers pure has been my favorite. When I can’t find pampers pure buggies little movers are my go to. I used to use honest but it gave my daughter a rash.

Avatar

We’ve tried every brand of diapers. Huggies, pampers, store brands, Huggies special deliveryā€˜s and we have found that the Costco brand is the same as Huggies but about $10 less. And you you ladies know That that $10 makes a big difference

Avatar

Honest! And you can have them delivered to your front door šŸ™‚

Avatar

Im using Eco Pea. They have a subscription and they get sent to my house.

Avatar

I use aldi's mamia

Avatar

Pamper over nights are amazing but I also get the aldi’s brand as her day times and honest is good to

Avatar

I use pampers and scan the codes also

Avatar

Amazon, mama bear!

Avatar

We love hello bello. Used them since he was about 1 month old and he’s now 16 months! We recently switched to pull up hello bellos because wrestling him to put a diaper on just wasn’t working haha. We use night time diapers and they don’t leave either

Screen-Free

Any other moms doing no screens? How do you get anything done or deal with the crying?? I feel like I never get a moment for myself or to even do things that need to be done like cleaning or cooking. My baby loves to be held all day but hates carriers. No judgement please! We are trying to do no screens for the first two years. Sometimes I have to just let him cry for a bit while I do something for myself and it feels awful. And let's not even get into the screaming in the car...I don't know if it's true and I feel kinda bad for saying this but I feel like screen-free parents just deal with a lot more crying šŸ˜ž

Male nursery worker

Am I being unreasonable? I feel uncomfortable with a male nursery worker changing my daughter’s nappies. I was told he was ā€œhelping outā€ for a day? But no explanation was given. Can I raise it with the head without being seen as problematic? To be completely honest, I found it unsettling and odd he just appeared out of the blue..

Nursery and eating off the floor

My boy starts nursery next week at 12m. He loves to practice his pincer grip. He loves to practice eating. We just went for nursery taster and he spent the time outside trying to eat sticks and dried leaves. We stopped him but i was worried the nursery staff were too busy with the sick kids to notice.

Editing to add - there were alot of staff outside though and it wouldve been harder to be faster than us at stopping him eat things as we were both watching like hawks. They say they have 1:3 ratio of staff and that they would notice.

I'm really worried he will choke on something he shouldn't be eating but he LOVED being outside.

My partner suggested we ask he be kept inside until this phase has passed...is that too much?

Being too sensitive?

I wanted people’s opinions on this and wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation! My husband is being super sensitive over friends and families opinions on who our new born baby daughter looks like. I think it’s ridiculous we are even bickering over this and having heated conversations. A lot of people have said she looks like her dad but some are saying she looks like me and just because he can’t see it, he gets annoyed with them for thinking it. I had a friend that came round to meet her and she said ā€œshe’s 100% ALL youā€ (me), he found this rude and disrespectful. I don’t think it is at all! Everyone sees babies differently and everyone has an opinion. I for sure don’t get upset if someone says baby girl looks like her daddy. It takes 2 to make a baby and she is gorgeous so it doesn’t matter, I’m the one that grew and birthed her but I don’t take offence! We then had a deep conversation and he opened up to me and said because he didn’t have much growing up as a child, he just would have loved our baby to look like him and to carry his features, considering she’s his biggest achievement. He’s convinced all MY friends and family just want her to look so badly like me and not him. (He’s very good looking may I add). I just get anxious every time someone comes round now as I don’t know what they will say regarding who she looks like! This is something I cannot control. He should be proud she’s gorgeous, happy and healthy. What are your opinions on this?!
