Vanishing twin? Almost twins!

So went to my first ultrasound today 7 weeks 2 days pregnant heart beat was 136
But there was two gestational sacks!!! Only one had a baby in it has this happened to anyone before? Both sacks where the same size pretty crazy to think I almost had twins!!

Is your body supposed to naturally absorb the sac?

My mom had that with me, I often wonder what is would have been like to have a twin.... maybe that was a good thing.

I had this happen at 8 weeks too! I didn’t realize how common it was! Healthy 20 week baby still cooking now x

Yeah, I went at 8+2 and they said I’ve got 2 sacks but one is just filled with blood, presumably there was another baby at some point but I’ll never know. NHS said I might bleed or it might get absorbed

I had this and then bled at 10 weeks. Quite sad but surprisingly common. I am now 33 weeks with a happy healthy baby :)

Same was 8 weeks with two sacs one baby one empty! I was way to young to handle twins

Yes! This happened to me exactly what you are saying. My healthy boy is 19 months now but at 8 weeks there were two sacs and one had a tiny blip on the screen and the other the happy boy I have now

I had this at 8 weeks I started spotting around 9 weeks and heavy bleeding during my 10th week but after I passed it everything was fine my baby girl is now 5

I had this too. Saw the two sacs with only one baby at 5+ weeks. Continued to see the second sac for a while but it never grew or anything. I’m now 23 weeks with one little girl (who almost had an identical twin!)

Wow that happened to my friend, she lost one tho. Her baby's doing great tho

My twin vanished! I enveloped it. I had to have it cut out when I was 11. My siblings said that it was the good twin and left them with the evil one lol x

This actually happened to me this year. We saw two sacs at 6w0d but it was an abdominal ultrasound and I have a transverted uterus, so we never saw the babies/got a heartbeat. Then at 8w3d we found out that I was miscarrying and there was only one baby in one sac and the other sac was empty. It was a crazy two weeks thinking we were having twins though!

Same happened to me!!! I have no idea where the other sac went. But 3 days after I found it would’ve been twins I had period like bleeding. But other baby is thriving we made 30 weeks today!

Happened to me too, seen at 8 weeks 10 weeks and empty sack was still there at 12 week scan xx

Ladies, what are you looking forward to doing when you don’t have a bump anymore?

Mine is being able to sleep on my stomach! I’ve never been a side sleeper so I can’t say I’ve had a good nights sleep since my second trimester🫠

I feel so bad 🥹

So I’m 27 weeks and I really don’t have much cravings but lately I’ve been wanting pork and beef. I have not ate both in over 8 years and yesterday I had bacon. I feel like I want to cry because now I want a pepperoni pizza 😭

I had a baby 2 months ago and I still haven’t come on my period how late have people come on ?

What to do when water breaks?

So I was told when my water breaks wait at home till my contractions become regular, so try and prevent intervention (because I don’t want intervention, and midwife told me, once you go in with waters broken, you’re on their clock, which means if baby doesn’t come within a certain time they will try induce me ect)

What has anyone else done once their waters broke?

2 weeks old

Baby girl is 2 weeks old today. She’s still in the NICU but we are doing good. We are basically just waiting on her to eat by mouth instead of the ng tube now. She hit her birth weight yesterday FINALLY. Sunday she will be 37weeks so we’re hoping to go home soon.

Advice!

I was sent for a growth scan as my bump was under the 50th centile…been told she’s on the 23rd now after scan. She’s also “frank breech” has anyone else had a wee one on the smaller side and they have moved? I’ve to get 2 more growth scans and hopefully she’s moved or it will be a section! Another thing I’m dreading 🫣 my first was a svd and I was hoping for the same but I’m so nervous now incase of a c section
