My mom’s name is Jenny and she’s trying to come up with her “grandmother name”. She wants to play off Jenny or use a J. Any thoughts?

Instead of Gramma - Jamma? Or instead of Grammy - Jammy?

J-ma ... instead of G-ma which is popular where I’m from

My grandmas name is Julia, my brother started calling her JJ when he was a kid and now all of her grand babies call her that 😁

Jay jay
My mom is Gina my girls call her Gigi

My mom goes by nana with the grandkids

My mums called Angie so she’s going to be Nangie 😂 so how about Jenma? Haha

Mine goes by meme honey she couldn’t choose meme or honey so she put them together

Jen Jen

My mum’s name is Janet and she’s opted for Nanny J 😊

My mom insisted it was going to be grandma. My niece calls her Gaggy. 😂

We’re letting my daughter decide what to call them as she grows. We refer to my grandma and my mom as grandma but she’s 20 months old now and calls them both gammie lol. Whatever she decides to call them will probably pave the way for future grandkids

My mom is "Ammama"... my kids call me Amma

We called my grandmother jo jo :)

Genuinely curious, why don't they want to be called grandma? Or Nana? I've never heard of coming with alternate names for grandma, just wondering no judgement.

Ganny or Glama

Gigi. Or jiji

how do you pronounce Ammama?

My stepmom goes by Ama, my mom goes by grandma, and my MIL goes by Nana

We called my grandmother Nell, her name was Nancy but we honestly called her Nell because she reminded us of a jelly bean (lol) so when we were kids we’d say Nelly-Belly. As we got older she just became Nell. My mother had selected Nene Bc she says when the baby cries they will be saying her name lol.

I let my kids decide that, my oldest at 2 started calling my mom nana and it stuck

Is your baby boy or girl?

If there a lots of Grandparents involved, it's definitely less confusing if they have different names/titles. That way you know who your 2 year old is talking about when they ask for Grandma/Gigi/Nana

Nana J

J-ma!

My mum is going to be called Nana and MIL will be Nanny x

Jenma

Gammy Jenny is cute

My mom is Stephanie and had grandkids call her Anie pronounced “any”. It’s stuck so well that everyone in the family calls her that now. My MIL is named Suzi and in Albania the call the grandma qjyshia (I hope I’m spelling that right) so that’s what she’s called.

JJ!

Or GJ! We call my son’s great grandma Gigi and his great grandpa G Joe!

Granny JJ

My mom decided to do Nana and my husbands mom did grannima. Then my grandmother did GG for great grandma.

Jenjen ?

My mum was like this when I had my first because she felt too young to be a granny but she ended up just being called granny.
Just let whatever happens happen organically. No point forcing anything

Ganny glama(glamorous)

My little one has 3 sets of grandparents, my mum is grandma, my fiancé’s mum is granny and my dad’s wife is nana, but there are happy to go by anything she calls them when she’s old enough to talk 😂

Granny Jen, Jen Jen, Nana J. To be fair it’ll probably just come to her when the babies here and shes talking and just refers to herself by a name and then itll probably sound better than being planned x

My kids called my mom TuTu! I believe it’s Hawaiian for grandma. Maybe look up heritage names for grandmas

Lol I felt I was to young to be called grandma when I was 27 and having another baby myself lol. I chose lola (grandma in Philippines). Easy to say for lil ones didn't get confused with mom in anyway and wasn't old sounding.

Gramma J.... or “Jamma” lol

Jamma? Jmum?

My daughter calls my mom amaw (she is trying to say grandma but amaw will likly stick)

We have the following for grandma names: Nana/Nan, Gigi, and Mimi! These were all names either my kid sister or children decided on! We don't really get to choose 🤣🤣

Nana, GiGi, granny, Grammy, gam gam, nini, nan, granny, ga ga, and Mima them are my favorites

My nan is called Jenny and she’s always been Nanny Jenny

Jenma / Nana Jen / Nana Jenny / Nanny Jenny / Granny J etc etc..!

Jenma

Jemma

Not to do with a J but my mum is Lolly, my dad is Pops - so when we go there we are visiting the lollipops! 🤦♀️

My moms name is Robbie and My daughter will call her Rara so may Jee jee ??
