Back / belly sleeping

Hi I’m just wondering when to stop sleeping on my back and belly? I try to avoid it as much as I can and move when I wake up and realise. I’m just over 13 weeks now. I find it most relaxing on my back and belly. Any idea when to stop??
Thanks

My doctors told me not to sleep flat on my back after 28 weeks but as long as I have some type of pillow for elevation is fine and he told me that I can sleep on my stomach until it feels uncomfortable. I’m going on 32 weeks and I still sleep comfy on my stomach so I haven’t stopped belly sleeping yet!

I slept on my belly (or side-ish belly) my entire pregnancy with twins. It was never uncomfortable for me or the babies.

Listen to your body, it’ll probably be a few more months. Some women get bigger bellies than others and for some it happens sooner, some later, some babies weigh more than others earlier on.
All of those variables impact when you need to side sleep.
When it feels uncomfortable to lay on your back, start side sleeping. When you’ve got bad heartburn from pressure on your stomach, sleep on your left side to reduce reflux and increase blood flow to baby.

Don’t overthink and don’t freak out if you wake up and you’re not on your left. And for crying out loud don’t do what I did in my first pregnancy and “practice” sleeping on your left for months ahead of time out of fear that you’ll “mess up” 🙄😄 enjoy sleeping however you want while it’s still comfy 💕

My midwife said 3rd trimester. But suggested that I started in my 1st trimester to get myself used to it (as I used to sleep on my back). I’m 35 weeks and use a pregnancy pillow to stop me from sleeping on my back

I am back sleeper but I'm traying to sleep on my sides but sometimes I wake up that my both sides are feeling numb 🥺 and don't know what to do ...I scare to sleep on my back because it's not good on pregnancy so I dont really know what to do ....

I spoke to my midwife about this yesterday. She said that to sleep however you are comfortable. When you get bigger it is more likely you will want to sleep on your side anyway. She said if you are a back sleeper just use a pillow to elevate yourself a little and that will take the pressure off the nerve in your spine. X

They (uk NHS site) say you shouldn't sleep on your back from 28 weeks. Nothing about belly. So it's just down to comfort. You will reach a point you won't be comfy laying on your front anyway xx

I slept on my belly the whole pregnancy up until I was in the hospital trying to go to sleep and my waters broke 😂

I’m 36+5 and still sleep on my front, I just turn my belly to the side abit 😁

Thankyou all so much girls! Definitely helped me here! It’s just when people say to stop sleeping on my back and belly now and I’m 13 weeks nearly 14.. it just worries me to wake up on back or belly ! Much love to you all ❤️❤️😻😻

I have been told to stop belly when it becomes uncomfortable and stop back by 20 weeks.

Whenever I feel like sleeping on my back, I use 4 pillows in a way that I am practically seated. If I don’t do it, I feel like a huge pressure in my bump, it’s not comfortable at all...

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
