This might be a little bit of TMI! But I’m just looking for some props or advice. I’ve been trying to drink a lot of water ever since I found out I was pregnant but I’ve consistently kept a UTI since then. Before y’all say something mean, I shower. But I’ve been getting these pretty commonly for the past year and a half. How can I drain it out quickly? Is there ways in addition to drinking water I can use? I just hate waking up every night late for only a few drops to come out, especially with how painful it is 😭

Cranberry juice works. You can get juice or supplements, I get the juice and it definitely helps me! X

I have suffered with utis since I was a baby due to kidney damage and I found the cranberry supplement tablets from Holland and Barrett helped me. Also whenever you feel like you need to go go the the toilet go straight away. Toilet before/after sex helps too. If it worsens go to the doctors and get them to investigate xx

Cranberry chews, pills or the juice itself helps a lot. The same thing happened to me last year I constantly had uti’s and it would be caused by the most ridiculous things. Try using 100% cotton undergarments, and also you might wanna try having a hot bath with sea salt or any mineral salts you’d like. Have the water as hot as you like, just relax in it for about 15 minutes or so and it helps sooth the pain

Since I’m not sure if you can take the cranberry pills, I would say try 100% cranberry juice (without sugar) and excessive water. I had this issues before but w/o being pregnant but my doctor told me to drink 100% cranberry juice without the sugar and drinking excessive amount of water. Try changing something in your everyday routine like the panties you wear for and monitor your symptoms for 2 weeks and if it’s not that then pay attention to your diet and try and alter that for 2 weeks and just keep trying to alter stuff until it goes because so many things can cause a UTI. It’s nothing to be ashamed of it just part of life as a female.

Vagisil it’s amazing it numbs you’re lady bits its amazing takes away the pain honestly I had a uit for a year and lived in the stuff

If you’re pregnant you need to go GP for antibiotics. When I thought I had UTI during pregnancy I went GP, even though the test came back negative, they still prescribed me antibiotics because I was pregnant and in case is spreads xx

Cranberry pills! And make sure you pee after sex everyyyyy time

UTIs are very common in pregnancy. Smash high alkaline drinks like cranberry and if it persists go get antibiotics from the doc x

Have you not had antibiotics? It’s a bacteria causing the issue you need pregnancy safe antibiotics to stop it.
If you’ve already been on them a lot then they may of become resistant sadly so you just have to keep drinking cranberry juice and hope for the best

Start incorporating cranberry juice into your diet, if not daily, at least a few times a week. There’s something in cranberries that doesn’t allow for bacteria to adhere to your urinary tract as well. Also, i dont know where you live but I paid to get an IV of fluid at an IV therapy place. This was to ward off my horrible pregnancy migraines but overall it’s hydration so that can help bc I know it’s difficult to keep up w how much water we need right now. Make sure you’re not ever holding it! That makes it worse. I’ve also had 3 just since being pregnant 🙃

Try these after you get rid of it. I take one every couple of days. They are different than the azo ones that turn your pee colored
Also I Agree about peeing after sex.
AZO Cranberry Urinary Tract Health Dietary Supplement, 1 Serving = 1 Glass of Cranberry Juice, Sugar Free, 100 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004RR1FF6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_2HD3898NDG8EHJKVC32X

Utis are the worst. It is the most uncomfortable thing and you feel like you cant be more than 10 seconds from a toilet so I feel you. I always need antibiotics to properly clear mine up otherwise they just come back. I find sex is my biggest trigger and so now we use condoms as this seems to reduce my chances of getting one. They are horrid xxx

I was getting regular utis when I was iron and b12 deficient. Might be worth checking.

Showering has nothing to do with UTI’s?
My sister used to get them a lot, always after sex.
Make sure you use the bathroom after.
Drink as much water as you can x

Cranberry juice and apple cider vinegar pills https://goli.com

D Mannose worked every time for me and no side effects! Highly recommend 🙏🏻

Definitely speak to your doctor. They are very common in pregnancy and should be treated with antibiotics. Cranberry juice is great but can only do so much.

You can get antibiotics that are safe for baby. Also you can drink cranberry juice which is good for flushing out utis- they are disgusting I’ve had one while being pregnant and it’s not great but hopefully it settle down soon x

You need antibiotics if you are pregnant. I’ve had 5 UTI’s this pregnancy and I’m 28 weeks.
If you aren’t pregnant, lots of cranberry juice!

It’s common to get because of hormones changing that can throw off ph, also your partners sperm can throw it off especially if they don’t have the best diet and smoke and Crain berry juice helps with the infection

Update: it’s more of a yeast infection according to a doctor I just spoke to :)

Getting antibiotics now!

Pee after sex. Right after. I mean right after. Every single time

I went to a urologist because I had chronic UTIs and she had me start taking Theralogix Theracran One Cranberry Capsules and increase my fluid intake and it has helped drastically!

D-mannose, and 1000 mg vitamin c two times a day and at least 2-3 liters of water daily. I also figured out that it’s related to dairy and sugar for me so I’ve cut those out and it’s helped a lot.

Cranberry juice will help.

Cranberry pills/chews every day! 100% cotton underwear and don’t wear g strings! And keep drinking loads of water! In pregnancy everything puts pressure on the bladder so it gets harder to empty so don’t worry you’re not alone I have had 2 already and I’m 14 weeks!

I always keep cranberry juice and yogurt in the fridge, and always pee right after sex!

Any time you feel a UTI coming, my go to is this little box of pills called AZOS. They are a huuuuge life saver you take one or two a day and it's usually gone within 24-48 hours!

Im prone to UTI’s.
I had a very reluctant one whilst pregnant. Which took two months to heal.
After years I’ve learned that I have to: Avoid baths -only shower. Drink plenty of water. Drink cranberry juice .
Don’t use fragrance soap down there ( aqueous cream if you like to wash with something) tip from a Gyny. Don’t shave hair fully off around bits.
Wash before/ after sex. Get your partner to also wash prior. Not the most spontaneous -but helps. Have a wee after sex. Have a big glass of water after sex to fill bladder/clear out. Wear cotton pants. Wash at least once a day. Wash after you poop. Always wipe front to back. Its a tesious lifestyle if prone but worth it. Cos UTIs suck.
Antibiotics is the main cure. 7 days is better than 3. You need longer if pregnant (7 days). Always spk to a dr and get lab test done.
You will wee more regular Pregs- but shouldn’t be in pain. That’s the key. Drink your water allowance in the day- resort to sips leading upto /during bed time.

Drink cranberry juice with no added sugar
Take probiotic vitamins. There’s probiotic gummy vitamins that don’t taste bad
Try eating a cup of plain Greek yogurt once a day that’s low in sugar

I had the worst UTI of my life when I was pregnant with my first son. Nothing helped! Not even prescriptions. I finally had to get a shot in the butt which instantly worked. Call your doctor and get some relief ASAP. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

I had one towards the end of my pregnancy. I think we forget how much our bubbas are taking from us, so whilst you may think your drinking a lot, you are sharing 🥰

D-mannose is the active component within cranberries and you can get that in supplemental form. Combine that with a human sourced microflora (such as HMF Capsules from Genestra) and that will help you whether or not you work with antibiotics.

Which antibiotics were you all given? I was given macrobid but online says I shouldn’t use it this far along in my pregnancy (I’m 36 weeks). I’ve already taken two pills so I’m concerned.
Another healthcare professional prescribed keflex

I took it right around 36 weeks as well! Delivered baby at 39.5 weeks and she was healthy and labor went smoothly!

Great to know. Thank you, Cristin! Glad baby is healthy ❤️
