Blighted ovum

So today they just confirmed that I had a blighted ovum. I have to take the pill tomorrow. I was just wondering how quick people’s turn around “rainbow baby” was..... trying to stay positive.

We got pregnant immediately following a miscarriage (no period in between). We now have a healthy 8 month old boy! So sorry for your loss. Hang in there ❤️

Sorry for your loss. My first pregnancy was a blighted ovum. I waited to get my period after and then got pregnant 6 months after that. So 7 months after.
But, I think I would have got pregnant sooner had I not put so much pressure on getting pregnant. I was tracking, taking medicines, using ovulation sticks and was stressed from it not happening. Then the month that I deleted all of my apps and threw out the tests, I got pregnant right away. Now I have a 4 month old little girl.
Sending you baby dust and again, I’m sorry for your loss.

So sorry you are going through this ❤️ I had a blighted ovum January, miscarried naturally at home on Jan 13th, got my period back Feb 23, ovulated late CD23 March 17th, 10 days later... BFP! I’m only 5 weeks if you go based in ovulation but I had my hcg blood tests and it went from 108 to 366 so more than tripled in 48 hours! So far it’s looking like things are progressing as they should, ultrasound in 2 weeks today! I hope you get your 🌈 soon!

I'm so sorry to hear you're experiencing this. I was diagnosed as BO at my 12 week scan on 22nd Feb. Had a 2nd scan on 9th March and opted for medical management. I took these on 9th and 11th March.

The week following I was still losing a lot of blood and in a lot of pain. Went to A&E one night when it got out of control and then had a 3rd scan on 22nd March which confirmed retained product. So failed medical management. I then had an MVA on 25th March. I have only stopped bleeding following that this week. Getting very pale pregnancy tests. I am not due to take one until 15th April but I am impatient due to my experience.. I was advised to wait for my cycle before trying again. This ensures the womb is clear and helps your chances of a viable pregnancy. I've seen others get their BFP before a period but I personally don't feel strong enough to risk that xx

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
