Anyone else who’s got Gestational diabetes So my glucose levels have been high and I’ve now been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. It’s only my first week, and I assumed I’d be okay managing it through food alone. During the day my levels are usually fine unless I eat something really carb-heavy 🙈 (which has only happened once). The issue is my fasting readings first thing in the morning — they’ve been over 5.2, usually around 5.3–5.5, and once even 6.0 Does anyone know how I might be able to manage this, or what the next step usually is? Would they likely put me on tablets?

I still haven't had my booking appointment. I'm 10 weeks on Monday. I've had to chase them so much. Finally got an appointment for next Tuesday (which will make me 10 weeks 1 day) and that's now been cancelled due to the midwife being off sick, so I've now got one for 3rd June which will make me 11 weeks 2 days. I dread to think when I'll get my scan date 🤦🏻♀️. Seriously thinking of changing hospitals. Has any ones else been in a similar position and changed hospitals?

I am so confused and feel like I’ve got line eyes! My period is 4 days late (never am!) and I’ve just started spotting a little yesterday. Do you think doing a digital one would be clearer or won’t pick up hcg as well as strips?

I had my 36 week appointment but they didn’t discuss colostrum or the birth plan, is that normal? When do they do the birth plan with you?

I'm 37+3 and haven't yet filled out the birth plan form my midwife gave me, I know what I want but the form is just so vague I dont know what is meant to go where! i plan on asking my midwife at my next appointment if she can give me a bit of guidance but I'm wondering if its worth writing everything up without using the form or if they only really pay attention to the form
