Second income

My husband and I lived in an apartment for many years in a difficult city. Thankfully, we managed to move into a manufactured home, but we are slowly starting to realize that we don't have enough space now. We have accumulated a lot of debt because I was unable to work when our son was in the NICU, and we ended up...

Hello mommies

The time to go back to work is slowing creeping up and I’m just feeling overwhelmed about leaving the house. Any advice how to handle this? Without feeling bad for leaving baby with husband whole day? Even though it’s a part time job I feel like I would be more comfortable with a job I can do staying with my family ...

Birth review/ maternity notes request

Has anyone requested for both of these and is it better to have my notes and get a good read of them first before asking for a birth review or does it matter? Also in the belfast trust when you request your notes is it paper copy or online via the app? Thank you ☺️

Job hunting whilst pregnant

I am 17 weeks pregnant and recently lost my job. I have a temporary role now but have been interviewing for permanent positions. I haven’t told any of the recruiters/potential employers as I’m worried they would make up another reason not to hire me. Does anyone have any experience/advice on this?

I would absolutely love to be a midwife assistant/care assistant and I heard you don’t really need qualifications for it (unsure if this is true, just what I heard from someone who does the job) ideally I’d love to be a midwife but trying to find the time f...

Maternity leave

When are most people starting their maternity leave in the UK? I was originally planning to work until 38 weeks, but I’m now considering taking 2 weeks of annual leave beforehand, meaning I’d finish at 36 weeks. Is that fairly typical here? My manager is based in the US but I work in the UK, and I can already sense...

Did anyone go back to work then quit to be a stay at home mum? I’m thinking about quitting.
