Postpartum hypertension

Hey fellow mammas.... was wondering if anyone else has been through postpartum hypertension?
I’m in the 6th week postpartum and I was diagnosed with elevated bp 2weeks post my delivery. My C section was also a result of elevated BP on the day of my delivery. Fortunately I never had preeclampsia but this is more so only gestational hypertension.
I’m on meds just in morning to keep my bp in check and hoping this is something that should go away. But wanted to connect with other mammas to see if anyone had other insights that can be helpful :)

The same thing happened to me during my labor my bp was so high and it remained high for maybe 4-6 weeks postpartum someone would call me every morning and night to record mr bp but my lo is 5 months now and haven’t had any issues with it
And for my second child (no where in the works) I’ll talk to my doctor to see if there’s anything I can do to improve this or hopefully avoid

Hey💕
I haven’t personally dealt with this, but just wanted to reach out and let you know I’ll be thinking of you! Thank goodness they were able to get you on some medication to help. And definitely hope it’s something that goes away soon✨
