Hi mamas!
When did you switch your LO out of the infant carrier to the toddler car seat? I just feel as though she is so uncomfortable in the infant seat with not enough room. What is everyone’s thoughts?

I switched my first son when he was too heavy to carry in the bucket seat! I think he was about 8 months old.
I will probably switch to the convertible seat with my new baby when he hits the 22 pound minimum weight limit.

8 months but still kept rear facing until 2.5

6 months he was getting way to heavy in the infant seat.

when she was too heavy to carry around in it.. i think around 10 months

We did around 12 months. My baby is on the smaller side so we used our infant a little longer

We changed around 10 months but wished we did it sooner. The next level seats are SO much more comfortable. But one thing we did do is keep the infant carrier for when we take him into restaurants. He behaves so much better and they are definitely more comfortable and cleaner than their high chairs.

You have to switch them once they exceed the height/weight for the seat, my first was 6m. I kept him rear facing in his convertible seat until he met the weight requirement for that which was at 2 (also the legal requirement in my state for rear facing).

I never used a carrier car seat with my daughter, we just got one of those extend to fit car seats and made sure the weight starts at 5lbs. My 4 year old has the same one 😊

My first was around 5-6 months I think, but like above, you can really do it whenever as long as they are at the requirements for the convertible. I did it when he was able to sit up with support, that way if I was at the store, he could sit up nice in the cart. It was just more convenient when he wasn’t able to sit up to have the carrier, especially if he was sleeping and I didn’t wanna wake the beast lol. My other son who’s approaching 5 months will be switching shortly because he HATES his carrier and is a frickin’ heavy! Lol

9 months since my son was too big for the infant one. My daughter was switched around 11 months. Her infant carrier was bigger than most so it lasted longer.
