Teething...

At two months? Is this possible? My little guy keeps chewing on his hand and his pacifier instead of sucking on it, is drooling so much, won’t take naps all of a sudden, wants to nurse CONSTANTLY, and is so so soooooo fussy. His daddy and I can’t figure out what’s wrong with our precious boy! 😭 picture added for cuteness overload

Maybe! But my little did this then too and didn’t get a tooth till 8 mo. Have you heard of wonder weeks? Maybe little is going through a developmental leap and this is how he’s coping. Worth looking into if you don’t already follow it. ❤️

Avatar

Mine did the exact same! He got two teeth when he turned 4 months old.

Avatar

My sons the same and he’s three months .

Avatar

My 2 month baby girl does the same thing. I think she is just going through grow spurt and starts exploring her hands. Her fussiness gets better a little bit after week 10.

Avatar

Could be a growth spurt

Avatar

Get him a teething mitten from Amazon!

Avatar

I had teeth by 3mos my mom says so I guess it is possible .

Avatar

Yes it’s very possible my son started getting his teeth at three months and I know of babies who are actually born with teeth so anything can happen each baby is different.

Avatar

Definitely is!!!! My son started around then!

Avatar

Thank you for the knowledge everyone! ♥️

Avatar

There’s a chance it’s a growth spurt, but I had a pediatric dentist (we were there for a lip/tongue tie procedure) tell me that my little boy wasn’t teething at 2 months, and his first tooth started to poke through about a week later

Avatar

Sucking on hands at 2 months is a normal developmental milestone

Avatar

I have three kiddos. I feel like the whole first year they are either teething, sleep regressing, or snotty nosed. Lol hang in there mama. It gets better!!!!!

Avatar

Mine is two months and doing the same thing!!! Got him “gummee mitts” and he loves them! Chews on them now instead of his hands and I think it helps his gums feel better!

Avatar

My son started teething at 2 months and first tooth broke at 5+1/2 months! It’s a long exhausting process but do what you can to soothe him

Avatar

Teething suuuuucks. My girl got her first tooth at 4 months and pit bull lock jawed on my nipple a few times, and I was strictly pumping there on out. I used gripe water with her a noticeable difference for sure. Best of luck 💖💖

Avatar

Our LO started teething around 2 months but didn’t cut any teeth till she was 4 months.

Avatar

My son is 14 weeks and started doing the same around a month ago! Its definitely teething.

Avatar

My daughter started teething at 3 months

Avatar

Teething can range between 3 months all the until about 15 months sometimes 18 months. So starting to chew hands at 2 months is perfectly normal. Every kid is different

Avatar

Yes get some Camilia

Avatar

My daughter started teething at 2
Months. Had one tooth by 4 month with the second one cutting also. She’s now 7 months cutting her 4th and 5th tooth. Some babies get them early. Update. She’s 8.5 months cutting her 8th tooth. So some babies get them all close together too.

Avatar

My daughter started at 2 months, didnt get her first tooth til 12 months

Avatar

It's very possible. Early teething is common actually.

Avatar

I’m going through the with my little one rn she’s 2 months and 2 week and once she hit the 2 month mark has been extremely fussy not herself at all, constant eating her hand and drooling a bunch and it’s hard to console her at times she’ll just keep screaming 🙁🙁🙁

Avatar

My LO started teething around 2-3 months he’s 6 months with 2 teeth coming in!

Avatar

My son started teething at 1.5 months. Anyone recommend anything since his too young for a lot of things ?

Avatar

Yes it is possible. But observe and talk with your doctor just in case. My daughter wants to nurse constantly at that age and turns out she had silent reflux...good luck mom!

Avatar

My daughter started teething at 2 months she is almost 8 months now and has 2 teeth.. the second has only just broke through couple days ago

Avatar

My 4 month old twins have been drooling and chewing on their whole hands the fussiness has begun I believe teething is upon us 😭😢😴😑mommy sleep deprivation round 2 has begun

Avatar

My son is two months old and we did this for about 2 weeks. He seems to have settled. For the chewing I bought nubby teething pacifiers and have been making breast milk popsicles!

Avatar

Hey so your son could be going through growth spurts where they just eat eat and eat. Or it could be teething because my first one did the same drooling and got her first tooth at 5months.

Avatar

My baby is 3 months 2wks she's been drooling and putting her hands in her mouth the last month and over the last week she's started chewing her fingers

Avatar

Mine started around 2 months also and he had a tooth when he turned 3 months and another came when he turned 4 months. Buy lots of teething toys!

Avatar

Yes it sure is! My daughter started teething around 2/3 months and finally at 8.5 months her two bottom teeth broke through!! Dipping a washcloth in chamomile tea and freezing it for baby to suck/ chew on is a great way to help give them relief

Avatar

Same and at 4 I think he's cutting teeth and its brutal

Avatar

Yes! My baby boy is almost 3 months and hes doing the same thing!! I think it is possible! Going out to get teething toys 😂

Avatar

My baby girl started teething early 3 months or maybe a week before 3 months and she’s now 4 months and i give her Tylenol every once in a while to help

Avatar

It is indeed possible ! I had my daughter at the pediatrician right before three months and the doctor told me it was her teething! The drooling, constant chewing, night waking, crankiness. And at 8 months she FINALLY got two bottom teeth! Lol. When it’s really bad I switch between Tylenol and Motrin and that helps a lot.

Avatar

Yup. My little one started teething about 2.5 months.

Avatar

Yep. Totally teething. My two month old decided to start as soon as we all went on vacation last week. Oh the fussiness... The hand chewing is insane, but he loves chewing on my finger the most. We use the natural Nuby Soothing Gel occasionally for when chewing makes him cry more, and it works a little bit, but not that much and not for very long honestly. Been buying all kinds of teething toys for him, but he still prefers Mommy's finger 😅

Avatar

my sons teeth started shifting when he was 3 months, however none have sprouted yet... super weird, but just like my son, FULL of surprises

Avatar

It’s completely normal my son started the same thing along the same time

Avatar

I thought I was crazy. I have the same concerns with my little one. He is two months as well. Drooling, wanting food more but not eating as much as he was, extremely fussy, chewing on his hands, and now instead of being independent while sleeping he needs me otherwise he will just keep crying.

Avatar

Yup! Totally possible of teething! My girl started that early. She’s 7 months and she’s working on number 6 already. It’s been one after another for us. Bibs are part of her daily outfit.

Avatar

Yes my baby had 2 teeth by 4 months started teething at about 2 months

Avatar

Yes it’s crazy that testing can begin as early as two months. My daughter has been teething since she was 2 1/2 months and still hadn’t had any teeth pop through and she is 5 months now. Cold wash cloth to suck on is very helpful. They also make gloves with teething grip at end.

Avatar

I bought like 10 or 12 of the baby wash cloths on Amazon when mine started teething. I would dampen them, put them in a plastic bag, and refrigerate them. Whenever they would fuss I would give them one to chew on. Relief and mess clean up 2 for 1! But that age their teeth start to shift so there is a good chance that is what is happening.

Avatar

His jaw is probably preparing for his teeth as well

Avatar

My 4 month old has been doing the same for about 2 months and no teeth yet! But I swear I feel like it could happen any day..he bites my fingers so hard and it hurts!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

I think Motherhood has made me more bitter than I realized…

This is such a ramble but I don’t know where else to put it all.

I’m four months in and I don’t really have hobbies right now. I don’t do anything for myself except maybe doomscrolling or listening to a podcast while I breastfeed my baby. I used to craft and have game nights with friends. Activities that usually are at least 2 hour stretches. Now if I have an hour free my mind immediately goes to baby, or doing something in the house for baby.

And I thought I didn’t mind. Like I knew postpartum could be very mentally consuming. But I think it’s altering how I view people around me and it’s prodding at my relationship with my husband.

He spends most of his time making food for us, looking after our dogs, playing with the baby, ect. But he still has time for his hobby. Spends maybe an hour a night on it. Even adapted to using a bot for shopping for his hobby after a certain incident where we had to have a heart to heart after he left me home alone with the baby for hours during a busy workday (I work from home) to shop for his hobby.

And yet there’s like this little green eyed monster in me that rages every time I know he’s running off to start up the bot. Even though I’m the reason he does it this way.

We took a family trip last weekend to see his best friend and their kids and let them meet the baby. He brought the laptop. He’s always brought a laptop on trips and it’s never been a problem to me before. But one night we both woke up while the baby was still asleep, and he wandered out of the room. I tried to fall back asleep but couldn’t. So I went to the kitchen to try having something warm to drink to settle me. And he was there at the table running the bot from his laptop. I flipped out at him. But there really wasn’t reason to. It’s not like I needed help with the baby and he was ignoring me. He wasn’t avoiding our friends. He was just awake and unable to sleep and found something to do with his time. Yet my snap reaction was “why the hell would you do this on a family trip?”

I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s the less complete sleep from baby’s middle of the night feed? My brain being just consumed by baby? Maybe I’m not as over that shopping incident as I thought? But I’m just so annoyed at his hobby right now. The green eyed monster thinks “you could be using that time differently” but realistically to do what exactly??? Stare at our baby in the dark???

I spent probably an hour apologizing to him after I snapped. And he’s of course hurt and frustrated because I said some very mean things in the moment.

I don’t want to be this jealous, angry person. But I also don’t know how to find time for myself in this right now outside of basic hygiene. It’s like I’ve forgotten how to be myself, even if just for an hour.

Maybe I need a therapist.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Vaccination advice

I’m really looking for advice and opinions on vaccines for my baby. I’m not against getting them but also just don’t feel like I know enough about them to make a decision just yet as I’ve had people say to me they don’t agree with them and they can cause issues etc… so I just want as much info as possible. What are everyone’s thoughts and experiences of vaccinating your child? I’m just interested to see everybody’s views (no judgement as I just want to know I’m doing the right thing) thank you x
