Mucus plug at 28 weeks and tightening

So, following my post the other day, I’ve seen my midwife. She said it does look like the jelly looking stuff on tissue that I’ve had a couple of times recently is my mucus plug coming away slowly however due to this not having any blood in it and me not experiencing pain, then just to monitor. She said it can be bodies way of saying to not do too much etc. She also said that my tummy was very tight which is likely to be braxton hicks as these are not painful, just feel tight, then can feel popping and movement in tummy when baby moving around.

I’m 28 weeks and 1 day

Has anyone else experienced either of these now that’s in confirmed from midwife? I’m worrying but telling myself it could well be fine and I could carry up until due date but guess just looking for other experiences

Thank you

I had it, said it could be mucus plug or sperm after intercourse, either one should be fine, mucus plug with come back.

Heya! Just to say please dont worry. If its light in colour mucus all is well - there is soo much going on down there its our bodies way of keeping the baby safe. I have had lots of thick mucussy discharge this pregnancy. When I was induced with my daughter and lost mine when labour started it was dark in colour - so much so my partner thought it was poo. I sneezed and it came out! LOVELY. Also having lots of tightenings when I am doing too much - getting stressed. Also some women lose a bit of their mucus plug and it rebuilds itself. It doesn't necessarily suggest labour is imminent.
Rest, relax all is well sending you much love xxx

Hey, I had my mucus plug coming out at 24+3, it was all at once a blob of it. It it was completely clear and my midwife assured me that there is nothing to worry about as body will reproduce it. X

HI! I’m 28 weeks last week I lost my
Mucus plus the. Had consistent tightenings every day and her movements were reduced x so I was monitored I had 6 episodes of contractions but they went away. But I’m being monitored pretty much every week. Today I’m getting painful ones so I’m heading up the hospital again 😅

Hospital Bag?

Hey everyone! When is the right time to pack your hospital bag and what on earth do I need? I see so many different websites and advice on social media that it all gets very overwhelming. Thank you so much for any help.

Hi ladies, how long does it take to recover from a c-section?

Things you wish you’d do before C-Section

I’m having my section on Sunday, and trying to write a bunch of ‘self-care’ type things I want to do before hand.
Now I’m not talking the practical things like setting up changing or feeding stations etc. I’m talking things for you like shaving your legs or dying your eyebrows 😂
I know from my last section that I’m not gunna feel my best so I want to do everything I can to feel good! I’ve got a fresh haircut already!
So what are some things you did / wish you did before your c section?

UK Mums: If you had an assigned midwife for your first pregnancy, but not your 2nd. Were you a bit disappointed?

For my first pregnancy I was blessed with having an assigned midwife that I saw every appointment. She was absolutely amazing, so I guess I was spoiled in that sense. This pregnancy, I see a different midwife every appointment and I am a bit disappointed. Before anyone jumps on my back I know it is not guaranteed to have an assigned midwife. It is just hard when each midwife answered my question differently at each appointment and it took the epilepsy clinic (was referred due to having seizures in the last) to give me the actual answer. I also keep getting told that if I have any general questions to contact MAU, but I always thought they were there for urgent matters? Anyways sorry for rambling, I am just a person that feels at ease with consistency 😭

Help!

Stuck on names, I have an Ollie already.

We were set on Hugo but I don’t like any of the shortened nicknames for Hugo and don’t feel it’s as easy to say as Ollie! What do you think?
