Mucus plug or discharge! (Photo included)

Sorry for the gross photo. I’m currently 40+4. I had a sweep 2 days ago and since then I’ve been getting thick discharge like this. Yesterday it was strained with blood, but don’t know if that was just because of the cervical exam. Usually the discharge I’ve been getting is watery. On the day of the sweep, I had cramps on and off and since then but nothing consistent. Anyone had anything similar and gone into labour? Really just want things to start now.

Nope. She did the trick. You'll be in labour soon!

From now or a few days you dont have to go to hospital yet. Just look out for any water breaking or consistent pain.

I have been losing mucus like this for a week and nothing happening yet 😭

UPDATE: I had another sweep the day after this post. It was definitely the start of my mucus plug. As I got my bloody show after the second sweep. Which then started labour and I’ve now given birth to a beautiful baby boy. So grateful and thanks to everyone for answering.

sex is a struggle

anyone else finding it physically challenging to have penetrative sex atm? i swear no matter the position my bump is in the way. can’t even reach around to put it in 🥲🥲

18w gender scan

Has anyone had a gender scan where the sonographer was about as confident as they could be about baby's gender, then found out it was wrong later? We had a private scan today at 18+1 and we're over the moon but part of me is just scared we will have our anomaly scan in a couple of weeks and be told otherwise!! Sonographer today did seem very confident but I am just anxious 😅

Remind me please it's been some years, US based

I have googled it but I don't remember going that frequently with my previous pregnancies, at the start of 28 weeks

Weeping from c section scar

I am 2 weeks 3 days PP and there has been a bit of oozing from corner of my incision.
Midwife has said it’s not too much to worry as it’s not red, swollen or hot to touch and been put on antibiotics since Thursday
Today I noticed a odour so have tried to air out the incision (which is under a skin fold) to see if that helps.

I have also notified 111 and waiting for an out of hours doctor to call me.

Just wanted to know if anyone else experienced this to help me be less anxious while I wait for doctors.
