Restless legs

Hi Ladies,

I know there isn’t much you can do in terms of restless legs but I’m at a bit of a loss. My left leg is so restless, especially in the evenings. I do the usual soak in the bath, drinking lots of water, getting my partner to massage my calves etc. I’m just wondering if anyone has any super secret wonder tips? Yaaa gal needs help 😂😂

It didn’t work for me but my midwife suggested using magnesium oil spray. maybe it works for you?

I noticed my restless leg start when I run out of pregnacare tablets last week.. as soon as I started them again it went!! A lot to be said for vitamins x

I've had this and I tried magnesium oil spray on my legs. But over the last couple of weeks nothing worked and my legs were so bad that I was getting woken up every hour with them, it was torture! Turns out my iron levels are low and since starting my iron tablets it's improved my legs alot xx

Magnesium spray burned my legs, be careful, I mix it in with moisturer

I used the Mama Mio Lucky Legs cooling gel and one of those wooden ball massagers it was amazing! Also lots of bouncing on the birthing ball x

My midwife today offered to refer me to physio as my bloods are all ok and I’ve tried all the other things .
She said it could be baby sitting on a nerve and the physio could give me stretches / exercises to relieve the pressure, might be worth asking mine can be day and night and I’ve had to give up driving due to it as if it happens whilst I am driving I don’t feel in control

Take regular Iron and magnesium and have a shower before bed. Also get up instead of tossing and turning. Get some fresh air. I feel you!

Doesn’t work for everyone but a hot water bottle under the legs seems to help me

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
