I’m thinking of starting giving my 22 week old some foods next week. She’s been waking up at 4.30/5 and I wonder if having some extra calories will help! What foods did everyone start with? I’m thinking purée broccoli and maybe some of the Ella’s kitchen pouches?

I'm using ellas kitchen products my little boy loves them, I started him on rusks with his formula (like porridge) and mushed banana, now use the puree pouches and he loves them! X

I started only week ago and started with the ellas pouches she loved the sweet potato have tried rusk mashed with her milk for breakfast and fruit in her feeding Dummy xx

I started my son at 5 months coz I had the same problem. He has a little porridge in the morning. A little fruit purée for lunch and a bit of a jar for dinner to see what he likes. Seems to be helping. X

I started 2 weeks ago with homemade purée, so far his favourites seem to be carrots, peas and pear.
We bought cow & gate baby porridge but it gave him a bit of a chin rash then I was shocked at the amount of ingredients in it when I looked closely so I’ve just switched to regular smooth porridge / ready brek with no additives etc. (healthier and cheaper) x

I don't think giving her food will help with early wakes. I did for mine and it didn't help. I tweaked her nap times and night feeds a little and some days she wakes up at 6AM, some at 6:30, 7AM but there are still some 5:30 😅😅
I started mine at about 5.5 months because she was very interested in our food and started putting everything in her mouth to explore. I was told to start off with veggies so that they are not used to the sweetness of fruits. We just buy pouches from different brands.

I have read to start with single vegetables to check for allergens then go on to fruit then other things. I was hoping to do purées/mashed food and also get one of those teether toys you can put fruit in, but not sure when to introduce that as I’m pretty sure my son is going to love them 😅

I started my boy on porridge now we are also using the ellas kitchen pouchs and theyre brilliant xx

My baby is 23 weeks, we are going to start at the weekend, going to start with veggies, think Ella's kitchen carrots first xx

I started my little one just after she turned 4 months.. every time I ate she was reaching for my food so I tried her with a few spoons of puréed peas and she loved it!! She’s just turned 5 months and has a heaped tablespoon of the powdered porridge at breakfast and some purée at lunch time! She sleeps SO much better now too

I started with the little hipp jars and ellas pouches just fruit pureeS at 4 months, now she’s almost 6months and likes porridge with 1/4 crushed rusk and pear or peach flavouring 🥰

My lg loves broccoli, carrot, banana and pears purée are also her favourite (hipp purees) x

I've also found this, my boy is 23 weeks tomorrow and for the last week or so he's been waking in the night and he never used to, he also watches us when we eat so yesterday I gave him 2 'meals' which was about half a pouch of Ella's kitchen food in total and he slept from 9-7.45... the longest he's ever slept!! Was worried about wearing early but he clearly needs it so I'm going to start my own purees from the garden, so root veg first I think. Will try carrot first as he seems to like that in the pouches
