Look vs see

I'm fairly certain (anyone can correct me if I'm wrong), but look is two fingers and see is one.

interpreter here👋 not necessarily:

"look" (like "hey, look over there/look at that) is made with two fingers pointing in the direction you want the person to shift their gaze to. "look" (like "you look tired") is made with your index finger circling/outlining your face. "see" (like "we'll see") is made with your index/middle finger tapping the corner of your eye. "see" (like "did you see that?") is made with your index/middle finger starting at the corner of your eye and then bringing that same handshape straight out in front of your face a few inches.

the parameters (handshape, location, palm orientation, etc) found in a 3D language is hard to explain in text😆i apologize.

i suggest checking out "asl sign bank" on instagram. it's a deaf-led (which is VERY important and extremely appropriate for this kind of thing to be taught by/presented by a native user of the language) research tool that shows you short video clips of signs, phrases, etc.
