Midwife and prescriptions

I want to know if I was in the wrong for calling my midwife staff out for not reading my chart before prescribing me a prescription that could harm me and baby.

Little back story:
I got a call from my midwife staff (my actual midwife is out for the week) in regards to a minor uti and said they were going to send a prescription to my pharmacy. Well an hour later I get a call from the pharmacy about this medication. It is in the penicillin family and I’m allergic to penicillin. I called the staff back to ask if they could send a prescription without this in it and I got rung out with being told I will take whatever prescription she sends to get the uti cleared up and that after that call she will no longer take any call from me here on out.

Please help. What do I do.

I am looking for a new midwife. She said I verbally abused her when I told her I can’t take the med she prescribed and I need something else.

Did you bring it to the attention of your midwife? If she didn't call you and apologize for her staff member's behavior. Reassure you that they were reprimanded for their error in prescribing the wrong medicine. Tell you that they would make sure that never happened again then you need to get a different midwife.
