Hi everyone. How do you maintain your weight, I have put on and not liking it at all. Also feel like someone has taken a pump and blow my body up 😂. Any advice about how to loose it or at least not put any more on xx

I wish I knew the answer as its so depressing.

Seriously I don't know what's happened lol

It is Amanda, but there has to be a way. That’s why I posed the question in hopes that someone can point me in the main direction. Not taking any meds other than herbal stuff for bloating and that’s it. How r u doing with it

Me either 🤷♀️. Any advice is welcome

Same I'm not bad just depressed with the weight gain

I do intermittent fasting.. It's the only thing that gets the weight off.. I eat from 11am or 12 noon within an 8 hour period... I feel great.. You get used to it.. My belly has vanished... I do watch what I'm eating and stick within 1500-2000 calories...

That’s something I will think about thank you Izzy x

I do exactly the same as Izzy. The weight gain has stabilised and it definitely helps me feel in control. Cutting down on alcohol helps as our ability to process sugar lessens as we age. I do 5 to 10 min stretches and yoga every morning too Good luck!

So you only eat from 11 for 8 hours . Have you managed to loose weight with it . Thanks for the advice Rosie

You can start eating whenever you like.. I start at 11am or 12 for an 8 hour window... Some people do 16:8, 14:10, etc.. Whatever works for you... There's lots of good IFgroups on FB.. I've joined one for over 50's... Really supportive and very helpful.. I also bought, Fast Feast Repeat a book by Gin Stephens from Amazon about £12.. Explains it really well.. Some people do Keto alongside fasting.. Everyone is different.. You set your times.. Some people do OMAD one meal per day...

I've lost 3 stone..

Thank you so much for the advice Izzy really appreciate it, just want to be me again

you're very welcome.. I'm sure you will be.. I know I'll never be the same person I was but if I can get close to it then it's all worth it.. Good luck..

How long have you been going through menopause?

Hi there, I started with an online coach in March and have lost 2st in weight and feel amazing. The only way you can lose weight is by being in a calorie deficit. I now exercise 4 times a week too (this is a non negotiable) good diet, no alcohol, (and odd glass of g & t) 10,000 steps a day and exercise 4 days a week. Just off out for a half hour walk to start my step count for the day.

Hi Michelle. Wow you have done amazing . Thanks for the advice x

It wasn’t easy changing my lifestyle, but the benefits are amazing! Barely any anxiety now and no depression. Somedays I really don’t feel like doing it, but the immediate effect after a workout 🏋️♀️ really sets me up for the day. I do it in the comfort of my own home too. Just invested in some weights. Consistency is key. Hope this helps x

Wow you have done so well and work full time. We are looking at getting a treadmill for like today when it is raining 😂😂.

Thanks it does help x

nearly 6 years now..

Hey Ann- it’s a real nuisance, I’ve always had to work at it due to PCOS but never ever had a fat belly🤦♀️
After taking HRT for nearly 12 months and having a crap year with work etc, a had a severe word with myself😂
I’ve been trying out a keto diet for about 6 weeks along with going back to using weights 5 times a week- it takes planning and I also work full time. Just give something structured a go, you get there eventually when you find the right thing, it makes you feel so much better😘 xx

Thanks Victoria. That’s whT I need a severe word 😂, did you find you gained weight with hrt as I am considering it xx

I’ve been using a happy hormones pack that has the worlds first quadbiotic it in, a mood supplement to decrease cortisol and a hormone helper in it. I am finally seeing my belly fat disappear after trying everything with diet & exercise
