What to dress baby in under 2.5tog sleeping bag?

I’ve been doing long sleeve vest and sleepsuit for the last couple of months but temp has really dropped in our house now. I checked the monitor just before our heating automatically came on at 6 this morning and it said his room was 13 degrees!!!!! Shall I add more layers? 😬

I always put my girl in a 3.5tog, sleepsuit and blanket over legs her room is 14.5 by midnight!

I’d say put a blanket over bubba also xx

thank you! I’m still really anxious about blankets but will definitely look into higher tog sleeping bags. How ridiculous am I that I didn’t even know a 3.5 existed 🙄 😂

I’m still cautious too that’s why it’s only ever over her legs 🤣
Yeah mine is from Jo Jo mama bebe it’s a 1 and a 2.5 tog that zips together for winter x

I would love to be able to get away with just putting it on his legs but it wouldn’t stay there, my little guy is so active at night it’s unreal. He does at least a dozen full 360 spins before he falls asleep 😂 Oh I actually do have a 1tog from there, I wonder if I can just buy a 2.5 to attach. I’ll have a look now, thank you! X

You can add socks and a cardigan to a 2.5 tog

My LG runs warm so i just in a footed sleepsuit and a 2.5 tog. She sleeps through fine but i havent checked the temp in the room overnight, shes still in with us though in a cot.

I am anxious too as it drops to 15 degrees so I’ve got a mini radiator that I keep on at night across the room… going to take the hit for this week as it’s in the - 😩

I moved our thermostat to baby's room, set it to 21 degrees, 2.5 tog sleeping bag and long sleeve vest. His room is the smallest in the house, I turned all the other radiators down, so not wasting gas 🙈

good ideas, I’ve just got to get inventive I think 🧐

I also kept a small radiator on in my girls room just to get it to 17-18 degrees! Heating isn’t on anywhere else so I’ll take the hit!!

Am I overreacting?

My LG goes to nursery 4 days a week (3 half days and 1 full day). We have to provide our own nappies and wipes and were told when they’re running out so we can restock, which is fine.

My issue is, the last few days, my LG has come home in a random nappy from a brand that isn’t hers and she’s started to become sore down there. When my partner brought it up to the baby room manager, her response was ‘oh well, babies are babies, it doesn’t matter and they pull them out the drawers’. For one, the drawers are high up as I’ve seen them so shouldn’t be getting pulled out and 2. If I’m providing nappies, use them because what if the persons nappies being used, can’t afford a lot?

We’ve had no issues with the nursery until this but I wonder if maybe I’m overreacting about it?

Getting jiggy with child about

My partner will try to get jiggy when our 4 year old is around. Ive told him multiple times it is a huge turn off knowing they could run in and catch us but it seems to fall of deaf ears!!!!

Comments from people about your child

Today i went to a cafe and a woman working in the cafe made a comment about my baby - said something like “shes a cheeky one, cries when i look at her”. My baby was crying so much as she looked at my baby so i was trying to console her and couldnt say anything back to her. But i said yes shes uncomfortable and she said “ill keep looking if she cries”. I was so angry that i just couldnt respond and took my baby away and later the woman disappeared.

I feel really guilty and sad about not being able to say anything back to her and not showing my anger in the moment. I also feel like i was not able to protect my baby from that woman although i took her away.

Has anyone had anything like that happen before and how did you manage comments like this?

Friends’s baby always smells bad

Their nails are always cut perfectly always wearing clean clothes she’s not leaving them in a overdue diaper. This kid just always smells so bad. It makes me feel horrible even holding him. My gag reflex is going crazy. Should I say something? What could this be?
