What helped me a lot was my mom. I had twins and I had PPD pretty bad, and no connection with my son. He was in the nicu for 2 and a half months, and he has a twin sister who was born healthy. after bringing him home, I had felt my PPD had really settled in and the first night with him I had the hardest time. I don’t even remember if i slept or not that night. Point being of what i’m saying, if you have support to help you with the baby so you can take care of yourself as well, it helps out a lot

PPD should always be addressed. It’s not something you should wait and see if it gets better. It can lead to psychosis.
Try to get better sleep, sleep deprivation is one of the main triggers of PPD.
Also making sure I get enough zinc, magnesium, calcium, vitamin D & iron. Pregnancy and births often leaves us depleted of these things. You can get blood works to see what’s going on. You’d be surprised how being low on these things can cause severe mental struggles.
Postpartum.net has support groups and resources which I highly recommend.
Talk to your OBGYN! They’re there for that, literally and have them check your progesterone levels (very important) plus do blood work. And if there’s no time to wait for the results and get supplements and give the supplements time to work, there’s no shame in getting meds as well.
There are teas that can help if you’re into holistic care.

Stay strong. What I did was looked at my baby and remember she needs me

You will get through this. My post partum came later too. I went to a psychiatrist. They gave me Zoloft. It helps. However I still have bad days right before my periods. My baby is 9 months old now.
