I am planning to make a Spotify playlist for labour/birth but I am a bit stuck for choices.
I donโt know whether to put calming music ๐ or put on my feel good happy tunes. I imagine the pain will most likely require the calm energy. Anyone have any experience with this? โ๐ผ๐

I had an upbeat playlist, a romantic songs playlist for me and my hubby to slow dance too and a calming playlist of mediations and Hypnobirthing tracks

What if you make 2 playlists in case? That way you can switch between too, depending on which mood booster you feel you need at the time?

My playlist saved me lol but I also had a c section so itโs just numbness and anxiety! Anywho, I played music for days up to it and anything that immediately made me want to dance a little, went on the playlist. The people in the room also enjoyed it ha

Try Sticky Fingers. They're a Sydney based band and majority of their stuff is smooth easy listening. Listen to Napalm. For some reason with my pregnancy hormones this song makes me cry everytime. Ive made a playlist for when my daughter's born to help her fall asleep. I've been playing it for months in hopes she can hear it from inside and get used to it. I hate white noise.

I made 2 playlists but only ended up listening to my calm/chill one. Make sure you put more than 2 hours worth of songs in, my poor partner had to listen to the same songs over and over and over again ๐

I went into hospital completely unprepared when it came to a playlist. My partner found someone elseโs playlist on Spotify whilst in the birthing suite that was fantastic and we still listen to it today. Labour and birth vibes -Lucy Denny is great. ๐

I started with more calming music but it soon turned in to all my feel good songs. I had a back up ultra calm instrumental playlist but it didnโt go on. Just songs that made me happy & boosted my oxytocin!

Wait they let you open music in the labor room? This is new info. Is it just through the phone or is it a speaker they provide?
