It's a little tricky to calculate for me at the moment as his weight and age are completely off whack compared to the average feeding charts.
His weight is around 21lbs (9.5kg) and he's just turned 5 months. He's currently on 210ml feeds and about 6 a day but he seems to still be hungry most of the time after a feed and I feel that hw wakes every 2 hours at night because of this.
Does anyone have a similar weight baby that could let me know how much they feed so I can compare as all the charts online just don't add up for me 😠I dont want to start giving him more and overfeeding him.

Which Formula milk you give him

Aww look at him! My boy is 18 weeks old and weighs 20lb and has 8oz bottles (he doesn’t always finish the bottle) about 6 times a day, we make 8oz as he was finishing 6oz so there’s a little bit more there for him. Don’t worry about comparing, every baby is different and you will know if your little one is still hungry by his cues. I’d put another oz in his bottle see if that helps? Xx

Kendamil

Hey. Kendamil feeder here with a 9.5kg boy and 5 months too! I have just upped to 9oz bottles and he has 4 of these a day with no night feeds. All babies are so different but apparently you can't really overfeed a baby. They will spit it out then they've had enough X

If you Google, it says the recommended is 2.5oz to every lb of weight of baby. So working it out like that, he should have around 52oz a day? I would up his oz in his bottle and see what happens, he will stop when he has had enough. If he is consistently draining his bottles then I was told to up the oz in his bottle.

The advice I was offered by my mum and grandmother was to introduce baby porridge or Farley rusks. Taking out some milk to make it but should hopefully make him fuller for longer.

Around 5 months old you could talk to your child’s pediatrician about introducing purées. It’s recommended around 4-6 months. A little before a feeding of a bottle doesn’t hurt just never added into the bottle. At 6 months you can introduce more solids like mashed foods or small cubes of food. But normally I would do 8oz every 4-6 hours. At night introduce a purée and stay with that purée for about 3 days to see if there might be an allergy to it.

I've already started with porridge and purees but he's still hungry. At this rate I'll be cooking him a bloomin mixed grill 😂

bless you. My little lady is already eyeing up my Sunday roasts at a weekend 😂😂
Rusks say from 6 months but are thicker and heavier than the porridge. If worried then try the health visitor

To be honest my HV already tells me he's too big and I feed him too much so if I told her about solids I think it would send her over the edge 😂

if he’s ready then he’s ready. My nephew was weaned early. Now he’s a lanky football loving 8 year old 😂😂
