Intro

Hey ladies, I thought it might be helpful to do a little description of our experience incase anyone comes across this group as I’ve shared it in a couple of other eczema baby groups!

I used differing potencies of steroids on and off for 20+ years, didn’t realise a withdrawal was possible. My eczema symptoms worsened and I experienced ones I never had before like thin skin, excessive wrinkles, radiating heat etc.

Doctors weren’t aware of a withdrawal, not has any derm or a&e dept, midwife that I’ve seen during my journey of TSW.

I’m currently 30months steroid free and still suffering incredibly. My 15mo has eczema and I find it incredibly triggering and hard to manage both our skin without steroids but know it’s necessary.

Always here to answer any questions about it, or about eczema if at all helpful!x

Long night wakings and exhaustion

My 4 week old wakes once/ twice in the night. Problem is that the wake period is really long. It’s not that he’s awake for the whole time, but he struggles to get comfy again in his next to me. It often means I’m awake from about 2-4am and then he wakes again around 6 and we don’t get back to sleep after that one. We don’t get to sleep until around 10:30/11 as that is when he has his evening feed. My toddler is also waking in the night too sometimes. I’m so so tired that I can’t think straight and I’m also doing nursery runs/ looking after a toddler at the same time as a newborn and just feeling really overwhelmed. My husband helps out but he’s back at work and is knackered too. Is anyone else having similar issues?

Bottle refusal

EBF and deciding I want a bit more flexibility so wanted to introduce a bottle so I can go out more.

She used to take one three months ago. Now she flat out refuses and cries - doesn’t matter if it’s expressed breastmilk or formula. Tried it in a sippy cup as well. What can I do?
