Hi. Silly question but how does people navigate Brest feeding when baby gets their teeth? I never made it this far while b feeding my other two so I’m not sure what the next stages will look like.

Not sure if you want to do this, but what my mom said she did with me and my sister was if we bit her she’d gently flick our cheek. She said that stopped us 🤷♀️

Our little one was an early teether he’s 6 months now! We had a a rough few weeks of him biting but he’s not done it for ages really now!
I followed the advice of my auntie who is a health visitor. Each time he bit I firmly told him no, took him off my boob and faced him away from me for a minute or two.
I say it was a rough few weeks but really it was probably bad for a week where I had to get my silver nipple cups back out ( a god send if you don’t already have them!) and then I feel the second week was more his teeth catching with a few bites and is both learning to navigate them.
I thought at first it would ruin breastfeeding for me as I could really feel his teeth 🥴 but now it’s back to feeling lovely again 🥰 … with maybe just the occasional reminder that there are shark teeth in there 😬 haha
Hope this helps. X

Hi.
That’s really helpful, thank you.
I’ve never heard of the silver nipple cups, I’ll have to look in to that.
That’s good advice from your health visitor I will give that a go 😊

Teeth havent been too much of a problem. There was a period where she bit and i yelped and she found that fascinating… so when she was done she would nip me and smile 🤦♀️.

That’s so cute 😂
