Bath, book, boob… 💤😴 routine

I nurse my 13 month old to sleep for bedtime. I want to have a night away but unsure if she will be able to go to sleep without nursing. How did you all drop the bedtime session?

I started giving my daughter (14mo) whole milk at bedtime before her bath (mine was EBF as well) When I give her her bottle I’ve been decreasing the ounces of milk and adding water in place of that. We’re down to 50% milk and 50% water and will hopefully be dropping milk feeds all together, however my daughter no longer anticipates milk to help her sleep and doesn’t make the correlation that milk and sleep go together.

If it's just one night, you might just try it. I occasionally have to be gone during bedtime and my kids are always fine. They know whoever is putting them to bed doesn't have milk and they take it in stride. When I am there, they throw a huge fit if I try to skip milk :)

didn’t think that was possible! Thank you !!

Eyebrows

My little girl has quite thick eyebrows. I’ve googled it and ended up down a rabbit hole. Has anyone else’s little one got similar eyebrows?

Travel Pushchair - first time flying

We are off on holiday tomorrow (flying TUI) and since purchasing our travel pushchair (which was cabin approved size) now seems just outside their size guidance and likely will be gate checked.

Questions;
Do you get the pushchair back at the gate when you land or have to wait until you get to the luggage carousel?

Anyone’s experience with TUI and how strict they are on size?

We also haven’t got a cover/bag for it should it be checked.. rookie error for this first time mum 😫

Baby has changed… help 😫

Hey all,

Baby girl is 6 weeks old, 7 on Saturday. In the last 3 days, she’s done a complete 180 on us and has changed up, which I know is expected, but I am STRUGGLING.

She was always happy to sleep in her next to me at night, during the day she only wants contact naps, and that’s fine - I can compromise there, and I mainly want her in the crib at night for her own safety - I’d love nothing more to snuggle at night, but that’s just not safe and it’s the only time me and my partner can be together… we had a little routine, she’d have her bottle at around 7pm, would be changed and then would settle on my chest whilst we watched TV, then at around 10pm I’d take her to her bed, either me or dad would put her in the next to me and we’d all sleep until 2am when she would feed.

In the last 3 days, that has changed. She has her 7pm feed, then cries and fusses a lot.. this goes on until 9.30/10pm. She eventually falls asleep - lullaby, white noise, red light, dark room, being held and rocked, eventually this all works.. but then she refuses to sleep in her next to me.

Dad stays awake holding her until 2am, attempting transfers in between to no avail. Then I take over. She sleeps in our bed next to me fine.. the minute I try transfer her,… nope!

I don’t know what to do… I know there probably isn’t much I can do… I just wanna know if others have experienced this, does it get better? Any tips?

Longer stretch of sleep

Appreciate I am a paranoid mum but up until now my baby (6 weeks tomorrow) has generally woken up every three hours or so to feed but tonight he has slept for 6 hours and even then I had to wake him to feed as I felt like he has slept for too long. Is this too long to be letting a 6 week old sleep without feeding?

FML this morning!!

All I want to do is leave the fucking house! My 4 year old isn't listening to a word I'm saying it literally goes over her head, my 11 day old is screaming for milk but I'm trying to make a lunchbox and pack a bag.
My partner didn't come to bed til 4.30am so he's still asleep and he sleeps like a log! I managed to do a school run for my boy this morning but this one just seems impossible 🤦🏼‍♀️ she's meant to be there at 10 and it takes 20 mins on the bus..it's now 9.58 🤦🏼‍♀️

Give me fucking strength today please 😩
