Longer stretch of sleep

Appreciate I am a paranoid mum but up until now my baby (6 weeks tomorrow) has generally woken up every three hours or so to feed but tonight he has slept for 6 hours and even then I had to wake him to feed as I felt like he has slept for too long. Is this too long to be letting a 6 week old sleep without feeding?

If he’s regained his birth weight and is continuing to feed & grow well then just let him sleep! Try and enjoy the extended sleep yourself x

Agreed, if they've gone back to birth weight let them snooze 😴

I agree with above that if they have regained birth weight you should let them sleep. My first baby slept through from 6 weeks and there wasn’t any problems at all.

Bad mother

Today I lost it. She cried and cried all morning, we went out for the day she was fine. Got home and cried and cried and cried.
It got too much, I walked out for a breather. Came back in and lost my shit. I didn’t shout, I didn’t become aggressive but I did throw a punnet of berries which scared her
Queue me falling apart because I’ve scared my own daughter. What kind of mother am I for scaring my baby girl. I feel beyond disgusted with myself.
I don’t even know why I’m writing this. I guess a chance to say it out loud? I hugged her so tight at bedtime but I’m still so cross with myself

Does your spouse or partner…

Hi. So this might sound dumb to some, idk. I’m not here to argue.
Anyways, my partner got me a sex toy, he said it’s an early Mother’s Day present. He has always been against me having toys, in fact he broke one! So he said this is because you think I broke yours.
So me being shocked figured there was more to the story. I asked him what he got. First answer he said nothing, then I asked him again, he said he got something. So once we got back to the house I was curious. It was what I think is a pocket p.
So it could flip to a vagina or a butthole. Anyways, the reviews I read on them says they feel real. Obviously I’m not a guy so I’m not 100% sure if it does or not to a guy. Anyways, I’m wondering if we will have less sex now since he’s content doing things to himself? No I’m not trying to control his masterbation, I’m trying to figure out if my life will be affected sexual wise by his choices. Been with him over 5 years so I’m sure it does feel amazing to him.

Anyone have any experience dealing with this type of thing?

Sick to death of repeating myself and being ignored by family

I’ve asked my family multiple times now not to give my nearly 20 month old milk, she was diagnosed with CMPA at 6 weeks and instead of listening to me, they told me she didn’t have it etc etc. Fast forward to weaning and it was the threats of giving her milk and food with milk in, then it was family feeding her foods that she couldn’t tolerate without me knowing but everyone else did and now my sister gave her a Freddo chocolate with caramel today and within 3 hours she’s had 2 dirty nappies and is sore and isn’t happy. I’ve asked time and time again not to give her milk and I’ve constantly been ignored. I’ve booked a holiday for next month for myself, my sister and both my daughters but I know if I’m not listened to and she’s given milk this’ll happen again and it’ll end in an argument and it’s my first holiday with my girls so what do I do?

Sleep Advice

My 12 week old girl will not sleep for longer than 30 minutes in her bassinet during the day. At the moment I’m contact napping to rescue the nap. Will she grow out of this or do I need to make some changes? I use the rockit but it doesn’t seem to lengthen her nap. I also have white noise on. I’m happy to keep contact napping if that’s what she needs but I’d also love to have 5 minutes to myself!

No visitors after baby with a toddler?

I’m thinking it’s best to have no visitors at least for 3-5 days after baby arrives home so that way my toddler gets some time to adjust to the baby without risking jealousy with people like grandma and grandpa showing up to see the baby

Car seats

What age did you turn your child forward facing and what car seat do you have? I’m aware rear facing is safest which my son currently is but I’m just curious what everyone else is doing
