@Lauren thank you 😊
@Katie thanks 😊
The underground car park (B) is now open to patients which makes life a lot easier. Once you’ve entered you can put your ticket in a pay machine and opt for a 7 day pre paid ticket at £10 ( works out a lot cheaper ) and your birth partner can come and go as many times as they like on that 1 ticket so I would highly recommend. You can access car park B through womens and childrens also.
@Katie thank you! Where do you access it from the outside? I can see it’s the multi story one at the bottom of the map, but can’t tell where it’s located.
@Mel I’m not 100% sure tbh! I’m heading there this morning so I will let you know. The sign for the women & children’s emergency drop off is to the right of the main enterance, so drive past where the buses are and it should be on the left. But I’ll double check when I’m there today for you xx
Did a practice run today and went into car park B as it’s now open to visitors. However- the door to the hospital was locked and the lifts said staff only!!!!! I spoke with some of the staff on the antenatal ward that said the doors being locked does happen from time to time as it’s only just reopened to visitors. On that basis - I’ll be opting for Car Park A as am too scared that the door will be locked when the day comes!!!! Defo recommend doing a rekkie. X
@Tashy Thats good to know. Thank you.
Hi, the underground car park I believe is for staff. There is a women & children’s emergency drop off where you can get dropped off and then partner/birth partner can go and park in the top car park. Xx
