NIPT Testing and Sneak Peek

Has anyone every has experience where NIPT testing proved to be different from their Sneak Peek testing ? I’m lowkey hoping Sneak Peek was wrong 😅 I got NIPT testing done today so the wait is on.

My sneak peek and NIPT results were very much the same! You’re saying you were hoping for the gender opposite that your sneak peek results provided?

I literally was just reading someone’s story in another Post saying she found out today her sneak peak test was wrong compare to her NIPT and she had her sneak peak done at a clinic🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

@Tika that’s so crazy

@Mickey I know it’s actually very concerning I feel even though I didn’t take it … I worry for people who did it and did a gender reveal hopefully it’s accurate

I did my nipt today too! Hoping it's the same as my sneak peak tho. Lol good luck!

Okay my early 7week Sneek Peek test said girl, but can confirm after getting NIPT results back today we are having a lil boy 💙💙

@Tika yea we opted to not have a gender reveal. I could not take putting on a party for results to be wrong. My boyfriend is already going crazy lol

@Kaylin oh my goodness. How are you feeling ?

@Mickey i mean daddy had a dream that he just had a baby spawn basically (couldn’t remember birth or where baby came from but he knew it was his😅) and when he told me that i asked boy/girl and he said boy, then later that same week i had a dream i got a call from dr with nipt saying boy as well so i’m not surprised at all. the sneak peek was more for fun i was never completely dependent or going by those results. up until now have still bought gender neutral stuff anyways so 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ 💙💙💙💙

@Kaylin ohh thank god your not like super pissed at the actual result lol that girl that i posted didn’t have her sneak peak done early she was passed 8 weeks and it was still wrong🤷🏽‍♀️ Congrats to you💙

I was told the NIPT test and Sneak Peak were the same. 🥴

@Tiffany nooo not at all even. Sneak Peek is like a private kinda company just for gender results. NIPT testing consists of usually two different tests, or at least mine did. My brand of test is Natera. NIPT (Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing) is usually a screening test(s) to screen for risk of both chromosome abnormalities, and the other test is usually a genetic carrier test to see if the mother is a carrier of any of 276(ish, depends on brand/test) different medical conditions. However within the last few years they have also added on the feature to find out gender wayyy before an ultrasound can detect it. Your doctor will order NIPT for you, or you can request them to order it — Sneak Peek you just pay for yourself and it is not affiliated with any sort of medical practice use

@Tiffany Also NIPT testing can only be done after 9 weeks and up to one day before 14 weeks i believe. NIPT can or can’t be covered by insurance, depends on the brand/type of test and type of insurance you have.

I did both and came back boy.. I waited on NIPS test results because I read a lot of reviews saying sneak peak was wrong due to contamination from males in your home. If it’s a girl it’s 99% accurate unless the test was take too early

My sneak peek and nipt both said boy and today they just confirmed it’s a girl LOL
