28 weeks and 3rd centile

I had a growth scan yesterday and baby is measuring on the lowest end of the third centile and I’m 28 weeks. I’ve been told to go to antenatal today for a scan review, should I be worried? She said baby looks fine and my placenta and the cord looks good. I have another scan booked in in two weeks to check the growth again but I am getting ready to get to hospital this morning for the review. Has anyone else ever had this? I’ve had two previous babies both were small one was born 3 days late only weighing 6lb 2 and one was 6lb 8 at 39 weeks. What could this mean?

Hiya im 26 weeks measuring less than 5th centile and baby also has a two vessel cord so I may be slightly different but you'll go for regular growth scans from now on and depending what they show you might have to deliver early.. but I'm sure the consultant will explain everything! I have my scan today to see if babys grown.. absolutely bricking it xx

Try not to worry especially if you've already had small babies it might be genetics, but good that they're keeping on top of it so either way they'll be able to intervene safely if necessary or just keep an eye xx

Hiya , I'm now 29 weeks and baby is on the 3rd percentile, my last two girls were small aswell . I'm having 2 weekly growth scans but they are not worried aslong as the blood flow etc looks good x

Tubes tied during C-section.

So I went for my appointment today with the consultant to consent for my elective C-section.
He offered to sterilise me at the same time which caught me off guard as I never even thought of it 🤣

I mean it would be nice to not have to take contraception for the next 15/20 years but I’m a bit skeptical.

Has anyone had this done during their C-section and if so, how did you find the actual procedure and also the aftermath?

When can you go back on contraception after birth?

I’m a week postpartum with my 2nd baby and I’m wanting to go back on the implant just so I know I’ve sorted it and around my area there can be a waiting list for a nurse to come into my GP to do it and I’m worried if I wait til the 6 week checkup to be put on the implant that I’d have to wait longer.

If I was to go on the implant/contraception before 6 weeks, would that be a good idea?

I just found out im expecting and my only sign was a missed period. I dont really have any other symptoms. Is this normal??

C-section booked for my birthday!

I had an appointment this afternoon to book in my c-section, and the only date available is my birthday! They’re fully booked several days before and after.

On one hand, it could be a nice distraction as I’m really nervous about the surgery, I’d have something to talk/laugh about with the theatre staff. Tea and toast post birth could be tea and birthday cake! But I feel a great deal of sadness that my child won’t have a special day of their own.

This sort of thing can’t be helped with spontaneous labour, but it’s a shame it’s likely to be the outcome of my planned c-section! 😕

Baby position

When my stomach tightens I can really feel the shape of the baby which is almost like a V. Two hard long lumps and a soft bit in the middle, I have no idea what position she’s in! Anyone got any ideas?

Post partem bleeding?

Hi all, was messaging my friend about maternity pads and asking general questions. She described (in few words) her experience of the post partem bleeding and it's really freaked me out.
Just wondering people who've had babies before could you please explain your experiences?
Trying to wrap my head around what to expect :)
