Two gender reveal tests but different results šŸ˜“

Im 11 weeks and recently took the ā€œSneak peakā€ gender reveal test and got baby boy as a result. I also took the ā€œnubā€ test and my result came baby girl. Anybody else went through something similar? Now I have to wait until it’s possible to see the baby gender through an ultrasoundšŸ˜“šŸ˜“The wait continues…

11 weeks is a little too early to do the nub theory as it’s still developing

Can I ask how many weeks are you? You can see the gender at 12-13 weeks in an ultrasound.

Im 11 weeks

The only thing about sneak peek is that there is sometimes a contaminated result - males in the house including dogs if the room isn’t sterile enough - can make it say male falsely

Avatar

You just need to wait a little longer. It’s too inconclusive at this time for accurate results. At 20 weeks I got an ultrasound to see the gender.

You can get NIPT testing at 11 weeks for gender. Sneak peak is accurate then too as long as you follow instructions and don’t get any contaminated cells in your sample

If you did SneakPeek at home there is room for error as you’re taking the sample yourself, especially if you live with males. They’re not always accurate. Is the nub test a blood test? If you’re talking about nub theory, it is just a theory and isn’t proven so I wouldn’t base anything off of that.

The most reliable test is NIPT which is done at your doctors office with an intravenous blood draw around 10 weeks or the anatomy scan around 20 weeks where they can see the developed genitalia.

Nub isn’t really concrete

I did 2 sneak peak one said boy one said girl my blood test & sonogram said girl

You can do genetic testing around 12 weeks, which will give you a 100% clear answer. Otherwise your 20 week ultrasound is the best bet for finding out accurately. 😊

Avatar

If you want a solid answer before the 20w scan do the NIPT test. It’s a blood test that looks for chromosome abnormalities and will tell you the gender with almost 100% certainty based on chromosomal genetics.

If your nub theory was by someone credible like a nurse midwife Than it's probably more accurate than the sneak peak.

My nipt testing and nub theory were both the same results.

Bleeding while you pregnant…

I'm six weeks pregnant with my second child. At the beginning of the pregnancy, I had some light spotting. At five weeks, I had an ultrasound and a blood test for hCG levels. The ultrasound showed a bleeding wound, but it doesn't affect pregnancy. My hCG increased by 169% in two days. After all these tests, I no longer saw blood on the toilet paper after going to the bathroom. Then yesterday, I had a little difficulty going to the bathroom, and after that, I saw a small amount of blood on the toilet paper again. Nothing today. I'm going for an ultrasound on Friday, but I'm still uneasy. Has anyone else had this?

Hi, I went to the midwife yesterday and have been referred for an urgent growth scan as baby has dropped from the 90th to 40th percentile over the last three measurements. Has anyone experienced this? So stressful šŸ˜”

Julia Donaldson Party

Hi all, I’m throwing a Julia Donaldson party for my soon to be one year old but finding it hard to find decorations etc!

I have a sign, banner, zog and Gruffalo cupcakes and of course a cake! Also going to bring some books and toys to display.

Just wondered if anyone has done anything similar and could share any ideas?

I know he won’t remember but I want to make it amazing. We aren’t renting a soft play we’re just buying a slide set and a ball pit etc so my son can use them at home! So I just to make sure the theme pops so I can take lots of pictures and show him when he’s older!

Is It Just Me?

Is it just me, or are babies these days developing in their own completely unique way and fast!!

My little one is 6 months now, and honestly it feels like every week brings something new.

Sitting up started around 4–5 months, even though tummy time has never been the favourite activity. Rolling is no problem, but the real interest now is in attempting to shuffle around and explore
Standing with support has become a whole new hobby — anything sturdy enough becomes a piece of ā€œfurniture gym equipment.ā€
Weaning began at 4 months, and by 5 months there was already interest in snacks labelled for 7 months and up. And despite all the movement and curiosity, sleeping in their own crib has been completely fine too.

It’s fascinating watching how different babies grow at their own pace — some rush ahead in certain areas, some take their time, and all of it is perfectly normal. They really do come with their own little blueprint.

My LO definitely needs to slow down šŸ¤£šŸ˜…
