I have a normal flask and nuby and do the same technique 🥰❤️
@Billie @Kym would carrying a Nuby and a not be the same as just carrying a hot flask and a cool flask? Sorry I’m super confused 😅
You need both a thermal flask and the rapid cool. You need to boiling hot water to kill the bacteria off in the formula, the rapid cool brings the rest of the water to a safe drinking temperature for baby in just a few minutes x
Do you need to sterilise the Nuby rapid cool if you only ever put boiling water in it?
I don’t think so as the boiling water would sterilise anyway. I just cold water sterilise every few uses just as precaution. I think you only need to sterilise if it’s had formula in it!
@Billie @Emma if you’re only putting boiling water in it is it really necessary to get the nubby? Would 2 different flasks not be the same? 1 with boiling water and 1 with cool boiled water? X
It would probably work I’m sure a lot of people do that but I just find it more convenient and quick when trying to leave the house. X
It’s helpful to still have the nuby for at home home cos it cools down the water from the kettle in 2 minutes. I do have 2 flasks for when out and about though x
I have the rapid cool! It’s a LIFE SAVER! I take a digital thermal flask of freshly boiled water out (got it on Amazon) it tells you the temperature of the water so you know it’s above 70 degrees to kill bacteria in formula. I then fill my sterilised bottle with the amount of boiling water I need, e.g 5oz and then pour 4oz into rapid cool. I put the formula in the bottle and mix, then tip the cooled water from the rapid cool in and then it’s ready to drink! That way no formula goes in the rapid cool so you don’t need to sterilise every time!
