Please tell me your experience with Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital!

Hi all, I wanted to know your experience with Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital when you gave birth until post-partum. I heard from other reviews that most of them were forced to have a c-section even if their pregnancy was normal and uncomplicated. Also, are rooms private or semi? & if they're free or covered by insurance?

Short staffed but nice they never forced me to do anything the rooms are big and private

I’ve heard it’s really nice! Nice big rooms, lots of privacy. My mom had to stay there for a weekend, but she didn’t give birth there 😅 but keep in mind you can never be forced into a c-section. They cannot do anything without your consent. Please keep in mind as well that just because a pregnancy is normal and uncomplicated, doesn’t mean the labour and delivery will be.

I had a baby there in July 2022, good experience, had a midwife and then doctor was called. They all insisted on natural delivery even though the baby was stuck and the doctor Tuba Aksoy was amazing, confident and explained the process and used forceps professionally, no issues with baby or me. The neonatologist also checked the baby. They did not have a room at night as the baby was born after midnight so we just stayed in delivery room until transferred to private room in the morning. Was covered by insurance. And we were home at 2 am next day. Good experience overall

Delivered there at the end of January and had a great experience. Limited food options on weekends outside their meal service and Tim Hortons but there are dozens of places nearby and you can get food delivered.

Had a good experience with staff scheduled for an induction but ended up emergency c section. Some of their equipment was not working well, clean and spacious private rooms. ;this was last December
