Mango purée for 4 month old

Can I start my baby with mango purée? My baby boy is 4 months and was cleared by his pediatrician to start solids (purées etc).

I don’t know what is wrong Whit the doctors , babies can star Whit solid food until 6 months old . they will have a lifetime to eat, why rush, when their body is not ready yet

I second that to what Yosi said so crazy to me that Doc gave the 👍. I talk to a nutritionist every month for my baby and they told me 6 months.
Start with veggies first then slowly introduce fruit.
Plus baby needs to be able to sit up slightly assisted or sitting up alone.
Don't feel rushed momma all you baby needs is milk🥰

Girl yes u can if ur baby is ready. Its best to start with veggies than fruits though. N ur pediatrician gave u the ok it all depends on how ur baby is. Go ahead and let ur child start enjoying hun. @Ayesha Ureña both my kids ate the same and never had any issues. Just like most mothers I kno have done the same and no problems. Let ur baby enjoy.

I would personally wait for my LO to be 6 months old and, as said above, would start with vegetables first. But if your baby has a very strong stomach already, why not...? I just think that mine would have severe digestion issues 😅😅

I wouldn’t. If you really want to give food early I’d start with avocado purée or peas, like a green veg. Don’t think it’s great to start with fruits especially acidic ones like mango.
One of my sons first foods was a stolen bite of mango I was eating, and it gave him a rash around his mouth because of the acid

My son's pediatrician gave me the ok at 4 months as well, I waited to his 5months for all the same comments you are getting here 👆 I started with pear and bananas puree first. I think every child is just different mine is 20 months now and looks like a 2 1/2 kid, he is a big and strong kid, from the day he was born he held his head up so I guess that was the reason he got the ok for solids at 4 months, do what you think is best mamma either way you are doing great 😊

How many naps does your 4MO have?

Hi ladies, just wondered how many naps your bubbas are having a day?

My little girl sleeps from 7:30pm - 6:30am ish and is still having around 5 naps a day. Her WW vary from an hour up to around 1hr 30/45 mins. I keep reading everywhere about babies transitioning to 3 naps a day but I just don’t see how this is possible as my LO gets so fussy if I push her WW too long.

TIA 🙏🤞

Hardest stage yet

I love my little boy to death but my god the 4-6 month stage is killing me off!
I did struggle with the newborn stage being a new mum but wow bring back my newborn 😭

Naps no more than 40 minutes at a time,
He use to sleep through now wakes up 1/2 times a night and wants to start the day at 6am 😴
Screaming like a banshee, loves to roll about but hates the fact he can’t crawl yet and makes it known 😂
cannot be kept entertained for more than 10 minutes at a time.
Doesn’t want to be held sometimes but doesn’t want to be put down (I can’t win 😅)
If it wasn’t for his cheeky personality and the smiles/belly laughs I think I would have lost my mind at this point!

Please tell me I’m not alone 🥲

Getting out of the house

Please tell me I’m not the only one who finds it near impossible to get out of the house with my LO 😓 She’s 4.5 months and I’ve barely gone outside since giving birth. Where I live it’s still super cold and the 3 times I attempted an outdoor walk with her she started crying after 10 minutes…
She won’t nap or nurse on the go anymore and still nurses every 1.5-2 hours. Up until 4 months her cluster feeding was so frequent I couldn’t go anywhere because of that. I’m completely house bound and going crazy. I feel like every other new mom I see on my social media is out to restaurants, Pilates classes, vacations, etc with their babies and for some reason I’m the only one who can’t handle it. Tell me this gets easier 😭

Edit: *it’s not because I worry about OTHER people with my baby’s crying- her crying stresses ME out especially because I know I’m depriving her of food or sleep because I went further than 30 minutes from our house and she won’t nurse or nap until we get home. It just feels like too much hassle and stress to bother.

Bedtime

Hi mamas. I let my baby watch kids videos for bedtime until he gets asleep. Am I a worse mum??

Help - trapped gas

My baby struggles to fart and poop. She looks so uncomfortable and tries to strain. I've tried infacol and dentanox. But no luck. I've tried massage, bicycle kicks and bathing but no luck. Only a few pumps. Anyone got any other tricks to try? Desperate tired mummy 🫩

Is 2 year olds (almost 3) too young to start learning to read letters?

Not expecting him to suddenly master it or anything but we have been doing alphabet and phonics for awhile cause he always wanted us to draw and after a point we ran out of new things so we went on to letters and numbers 😅 but he knows almost all of them so I don’t know if to see if he can string them together to read cat or something
