Natera Billing

Hello all… Today I received a bill from Natera for genetic testing. My OB recommended doing this as it would only cost around $150, so we did it. Now I’m getting a bill that’s almost $800. Has this happened to anyone else? How did you handle this? I can’t afford to pay $800 when I budgeted for $200 at most. Please help.

Did you check coverage through your insurance? Some insurances make you open up a claim or have you pay and then reimburse you. I’d call whoever your provider is and see if they can help.

I would call as I had early genetic testing and the doctor was very stern on it being 150 the lowest to 500 the highest lucky my insurance covered the whole thing I really didn’t think they would

I would go back to the office, they have special codes to get it to go through.

I had the same thing happen :(

That is probably with insurance (was in my case) call and ask for the self pay no insurance and it is $150z

I got charged around $530 with quest diagnostics..

You can also apply for Compassionate Care on the natera website, we got our bill reduced to $0.

When you go to the website to pay. You can opt to pay cash instead of go through insurance. Paying cash the quote was $150. And if you go through insurance the pay is a lot higher. Why. I’m still not sure. I got a quote from insurance and they quoted me $1500 for it. I said nope. So just check to website and see what happened. But im guessing that is probably it.

Same thing happened to me. I got an eob from insurance for 650, but there hasn't been bill from natera, so I'm not sure.
