Sweep - cervix too high

Literally just had this today!! I feel a bit gutted :( baby engaged but my cervix was too high

Me too! Left crying! Cervix is behind babies head

@Bella exactly the same as me! So frustrating. Hoping mine changes by Monday been told to go for walks and do squats haha! Have you got another booked in?

Had this yesterday.. Booked in again for Tuesday. Might have had my bloody show this morning, but not sure - could just be bleeding from having the sweep 🤷🏻‍♀️

Did they try putting your fists under your bum and tilting your body?

@Amy no they didn’t ask me to do This. I did say to them I usually have to do that for a smear too

Not to high, but I did go on Tuesday and my cervix was closed, so she couldn't do it

Yeah I had this happen to me with my first and was told it’s quite common for first time moms 😔 really sorry it didn’t work out for you!

I had a bit the same Thursday cervix and bit back and closed so she just tried to bring it forwards a bit. Also have another booked so see if any progress x

I had this and felt really down as I just wanted baby to come and it felt like my body was not working the way it should but 3 days later baby came

I had the same thing happen on Weds! Booked in for another sweep on the 10th and to be induced on the 13th! Feeling super annoyed now as I’m 5 days overdue and feel like baby is never going to arrive!😑

Hang in there, it will ripen and descend :) I tried everything to try and induce labour and had 5 sweeps in total. Eventually I was booked in for induction fully expecting propess and a long stay in hospital, but after the initial exam my cervix was open enough to skip that and go straight to breaking my waters. Your baby will be here eventually and it will be magnificent!
