Infacol VS Colief???

Hi Ladies, please can I have some opinions regarding the above 2? Has anyone used both. So my little boy suffers from both constipation and colic hes now 7 weeks old and is unfortunately being feed completely on SMA pro (ill be transitioning to Kendamil soon). I started off giving him gripe water (which helped a Little) but progressed to infacol following advice from others. I've noticed that Infacol isn't doing as much as it did and that it's also causing constipation to worsen. What's colief like? Is it essentially the same as infacol or is it more effective? Or does it combat other things as well as colic? Thanks in advance x x

I do Infacol before every feed to help with gas and two drops colief in milk to help ease colic symptoms x

Colief is supposed to break down the lactose in the milk to make it easier for baby to digest and infacol is supposed to turn smaller bubbles of gas into bigger ones so that they pass easier. Because they do different things they can be used together. I found colief to be a right pain as it needs to be added a half hour before feed which is near on impossible if you are going off feeding cues.

Hey, i had the same issue and Infacol made my little boy so constipated so i had to stop using it! I now use colief which is amazing, however you have to put the drops in the bottle 30mins before baby drinks it so can be a mess about but worth it as he’s like a different baby now X

Hey! My LOs colic was so bad we used both. Infacol before a feed and the drops in the milk. We used this consistently for weeks and now he is finally out of his colic stage and not using any anymore! :)

Drops worked very well for us x

My daughter is 7 weeks and we have been battling with constipation and straining a lot when pooing for the last 4/5 weeks, we were told by the midwife to use infacol but we felt it isn’t do anything so we moved to colief and she was going once a day with no over straining issues, we then took her off it for a week to see if she was able to digest it better herself now she was a little older and we noticed she was blocked up again for almost a week so we starting using colief again and she’s back to her happy self! Defo a good call - I make my bottles up two at a time so I only use 2 drops rather than 4 to try save a bit of money on buying the bottles x

We use dentinox as we found infocol stopped working after a couple of weeks. It’s really helped our little man x

I've given my little man some dentinox today for the 1st time, and it's a miracle, no uncomfort at all x x

And you can add it to their bottle…. Amazing 😁😁😁

How many naps does your 4MO have?

Hi ladies, just wondered how many naps your bubbas are having a day?

My little girl sleeps from 7:30pm - 6:30am ish and is still having around 5 naps a day. Her WW vary from an hour up to around 1hr 30/45 mins. I keep reading everywhere about babies transitioning to 3 naps a day but I just don’t see how this is possible as my LO gets so fussy if I push her WW too long.

TIA 🙏🤞

Hi mamas. I let my baby watch kids videos for bedtime until he gets asleep. Am I a worse mum??

Getting out of the house

Please tell me I’m not the only one who finds it near impossible to get out of the house with my LO 😓 She’s 4.5 months and I’ve barely gone outside since giving birth. Where I live it’s still super cold and the 3 times I attempted an outdoor walk with her she started crying after 10 minutes…
She won’t nap or nurse on the go anymore and still nurses every 1.5-2 hours. Up until 4 months her cluster feeding was so frequent I couldn’t go anywhere because of that. I’m completely house bound and going crazy. I feel like every other new mom I see on my social media is out to restaurants, Pilates classes, vacations, etc with their babies and for some reason I’m the only one who can’t handle it. Tell me this gets easier 😭

Edit: *it’s not because I worry about OTHER people with my baby’s crying- her crying stresses ME out especially because I know I’m depriving her of food or sleep because I went further than 30 minutes from our house and she won’t nurse or nap until we get home. It just feels like too much hassle and stress to bother.

Hardest stage yet

I love my little boy to death but my god the 4-6 month stage is killing me off!
I did struggle with the newborn stage being a new mum but wow bring back my newborn 😭

Naps no more than 40 minutes at a time,
He use to sleep through now wakes up 1/2 times a night and wants to start the day at 6am 😴
Screaming like a banshee, loves to roll about but hates the fact he can’t crawl yet and makes it known 😂
cannot be kept entertained for more than 10 minutes at a time.
Doesn’t want to be held sometimes but doesn’t want to be put down (I can’t win 😅)
If it wasn’t for his cheeky personality and the smiles/belly laughs I think I would have lost my mind at this point!

Please tell me I’m not alone 🥲

Help - trapped gas

My baby struggles to fart and poop. She looks so uncomfortable and tries to strain. I've tried infacol and dentanox. But no luck. I've tried massage, bicycle kicks and bathing but no luck. Only a few pumps. Anyone got any other tricks to try? Desperate tired mummy 🫩

Is 2 year olds (almost 3) too young to start learning to read letters?

Not expecting him to suddenly master it or anything but we have been doing alphabet and phonics for awhile cause he always wanted us to draw and after a point we ran out of new things so we went on to letters and numbers 😅 but he knows almost all of them so I don’t know if to see if he can string them together to read cat or something
