Views on the tablets pregnacare?

I am not into getting nutrients and vitamins from a tablet. Rather get those straight from the source.

I am having second child and friends are saying they are taking them but i didn’t before.

I took them with my first, then learnt more about supplements and didn't take them with my second. Not a fan of the forms of supplements they choose (such as folic acid).
I took the 'Prenatal essentials' from Seeking Health and really liked them. They use folate instead of folic acid and more bioavailable forms of the other vitamins

Thank you. Yeah I never took any and got all vitamins and nutrients from cold pressing juices and lots of veg. This time round my appetite feels different but making sure getting lots of good foods x

Yes, food is definitely the best way to get nutrients in but with soil quality going down and not always having the most bioavailable, nutritious foods available, it is nice to know that supplements can give an extra boost 😊
They are pricey as I had to order them from America but I looked for deals and bought multiple packs each time. I think iherb have a deal for new customers! We're quite low income too if I'm honest but it's something we decided to prioritise throughout pregnancy x

My first time I took it from when I first found out (4+ weeks) then I kept forgetting to take them in the second trimester.
I’m pregnant with my second and I’ve only just started taking them from 10 weeks, but my midwife said it’s not really needed anymore only vitamin c, but Im just going to take the chewables ones I didn’t like pregnacare tablets as I took some first thing and made me feel sick

They made me very sick, so I stopped taking them

me too! I’ve brought a different brand which as chewable ones, hoping they are alright for me 🙏🏼

I thought it was just pregnancy making me sick but I forgot to take them one day and I felt great then realised it was them and just stopped taking them I had a great pregnancy when I stopped taking them no sickness at all lol

Avatar

that’s interesting! I’ve been struggling with sickness lately and been put on prescribed medication but might give the vitamins a miss and see how I get on! Thank you 😊

hope it all goes well and the sickness gets tolerable i always had an airwaves chewing gum in my mouth that helped me lol! And then I had a bit heartburn in second trimester love heart sweets really helped lol!
And third trimester I started to get carpal tunnel tbh that was the worst part I couldn’t even do buttons up or do normal activity with my hands thankfully disappeared when she was born!
Best of luck on your pregnancy journey hope the sickness eases up! X

Universal credit and having a job

Is there anyway to work part time and continue receiving the same amount of money from universal credit? I've heard if you work 16 hours or less, your Universal credit money doesn't change.

I have a toddler and I'm pregnant so I kind of need to earn abit more money.. just wondering what my options are

Making friends

Is anyone else in the same situation as me. I want to make some mom friends who would like to meet up and go on play dates and walks or just a general catch up over a tea/coffee. But at the same time I’m shy I have a 2 year old little girl and a 1 year old little also.
Would anyone be willing to meet up and start a friendship.

How would you feel?

My husband wants to email my therapist about concerns he has for me so she can work on them with me. He keeps saying that I’ve lied about everything since we’ve met but I haven’t. If he questions you and doesn’t believe what you say then in his head it’s automatically a lie. I can’t post the rest of the screenshot but I basically told him I know he’s gonna email her anyway so go ahead and do it. It’s probably some HIPPA law against that anyway so I doubt she would reply or acknowledge the email. I feel like if you want to fix our relationship call a couples counselor not my therapist that I’ve been working with for 4 years. I just feel like this is another way to control me. He’s already moved me away from my family and friends and I feel isolated what’s the point of emailing the one outlet I do have. How would you feel if your husband or partner did this?

Hello I’m Maddie I’m 21 and I have a 3 month old little girl. I live in the middle of nowhere so I know it’s not as good a chance of finding someone to hangout with ofc but even someone to text that understands sounds amazing!❤️
