For me it was going from 1 to 2. It was honestly heartbreaking seeing my only baby realise I wasn't just her mummy anymore 🥺 they're best friends now and she won't even let family watch him unless she's there 😂 she sings to him, constantly asks to hold and play with him. It's the sweetest but those first couple months were rough.

Obviously having your first baby is a huge, momentous occasion, but I was not prepared for the emotional aspect of 1-2. I had so much guilt that my eldest didn’t have me to themselves, and that my youngest wasn’t getting the attention my first did.
Had my 3rd a few days ago though, and it’s the easiest transition yet!

I’m always surprised by the result of this type of poll!
We found 0-1 quite easy, could lounge around on maternity leave and looking after one baby was a breeze. She was a “textbook” baby so I guess that helped.
But going from 1-2 was super hard for us. There was no lounging around taking it easy as you still had to get up for the toddler 🤪 There was a lot of toddler emotions to manage and the new born was not as “easy” as our first. And I found it very difficult to just slot him into our existing routine.

Going from no children to two

No children to 1 is a bigger life transition. But 1 to 2 was wayyy harder for me.
