My LO has chewed all along the rail of his crib (luckily it’s natural wood so no paint or anything). But he also likes to chew the coffee table and cedar chest. I only leave him in his crib alone for like 10 min in the morning so I can get up and brush my teeth so it’s not like he’s in there for very long. It just seems so odd to me 😩

Yes! My daughter loves chewing on wood puzzle pieces, the coffee table, this wood teether toy, etc. I just assume it’s a teething thing. I think she would chew on the crib rail, but my MIL bought us some crib rail covers that we’ve had since she was born.

My son chewed on his crib and teeth popped right after - it’s a teething thing, I would say for some babies. There are some safe covers you can put on the crib so he doesn’t digest the wood if that concerns you.

Yes, that’s where the term ‘cribbing’ comes from with horses!
