Did you have hemorrhoids towards the end of your pregnancy? Bc that’s what I’m dealing with rn at 39w6d. Hemorrhoid pain is unbearable and I am terrified of the pain postpartum

Take a stool softener every morning, I use Colace. Also, I take a fiber capsule every day, as well. I drink a glass of prune juice every night before bed, and keep Preparation H suppositories on hand all the time. I drink a looot of water, especially because I’m currently breastfeeding. Ive been doing this consistently for a week and it’s made a huge difference for me.

And stay away from junky/fried foods! Stock up on fruits and veggies, instead.

I had a c section and finally pooped after almost a week. Stool softeners fiber and then mirilax. The Miralax worked in the end

TMI but I had such bad constipation that it turned into fecal impaction.. just totally backed up and wouldn’t come out. I delivered without an epidural and my poop problems hurt more! Colace didn’t work and neither did miralax. I used preparation H cream for the painful ‘roids, Fleat glycerin suppositories, & Prunelax. I needed all of this to clear out and it still took a few days. Feel free to DM me if you need any other advice on this. I suffered so bad I thought I was gonna end up in the ER so anything I can do to help share what worked for me!

Prescription cream the hosptial gave me and witch hazel pads

Drink lots of water and take a stool softener if necessary. Eat foods high in fiber. Use a stool to prop your feet when you need to go to the bathroom so that your legs are in more of a squat position. Use Vaseline beforehand, then a wet wipe to clean the area thoroughly and apply Preparation H afterward.

yes i did. I had a real small one. I’m the type that does not like to use the restroom outside of #1. But pregnancy, it just wasnt an option so i ended having to go a lot especially toward the end of my pregnancy. When i gave birth i had another hemorrhoid and huge, i believe from pushing.
I’ve been using prep. H and tucks (hopefully I’m using it right), I’m takimg some herbs now my midwife gave me. They arent hard, yet they hurt like a bleeeeeeeep!!! They need to heal asap.

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
