I am a plus size girl so I do have a tummy overhang and still wearing big knickers so they are above the incision.. don’t know what else to do to help air it out but I think it may now be infected😩Is slowly weeping yellow fluid and blood😓What do I do😢

I say go to the doctors they will inspect to see if it’s infected or good to go but C-section scars usually heal over 6months completely x

I'm a plus size cs mum.. what works for me to heal quick, I cover the area when bathing then clean the area with cotton wool then use hair dryer cool air to dry it then put a a small clean cloth piece to cover the spot and wear loose pants.. I discover as a plus size cs mummy tummy rubbing on it can cause that and heat.. when I notice thar on mine .. these are athe steps I followed and I'm completely heal. Please also reach out to your ob

Go to the doctors they’ll give you antibiotics. Mine started off like this and it was infected, I took a course of antibiotics and now it’s all fully healed 🥰 xx

My c section scar went like this at the start, I ended up having this yellow thing put on it and covered with a plaster for 4 weeks (I’m also a big girl) please be careful using a fan or hairdryer to dry because it can blow bacteria in) x

Mines like this, they said it’s not infected it’s just taking longer to heal. They’ve given me iodine and a dressing for it as im unable to leave it dry out (im sure most newborn mums are) it’s impossible cos we all still have the overhang at this stage regardless of our weight and the warm weather doesn’t help as it’s just gonna get sweaty lmao

I have the same problem im 4 weeks postpartum and they told me its because the stitches are melting and sometimes they leave a wound which can take a while to heal !

I'm 8 weeks PP, same I have a overhang and I'm still healing! It's very frustrating, I've been on 3 antibiotics and now I'm on a cream antibiotic.

Whilst waiting for the doctor, I used warm boiled water with salt and used a cotton pad to clean it. By the next day it helped dry it out xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
