Sleeping

Is anyone having serious sleeping issues with their 8 month old? I genuinely cannot cope anymore, I feel like we are just going round in circles…as soon as we get good at sleeping a regression happens and we are back to square one. Last night my LO was awake from 2am until 5am and would not go back to sleep, tonight and she is waking up every single hour screaming and like she’s afraid of her cot and and like she doesn’t want to go to sleep it’s driving me crazy she keeps scratching the sheet and hitting it with her hands and slamming her feet up and down which is causing her to wake up. My partner is being awful towards her, losing his temper, shouting and making the situation worse and I’m finding it so stressful. I am sat in her room as I am writing this because I’m too scared to leave incase she wakes up…I don’t know what to do anymore. Her naps during the day have never been great but she always has one at 10:30am then one in the afternoon but the naps don’t seem to improve her sleep and she will not self settle either. I’m so lost :(

We are having the same thing
Our little man has been such a good sleeper but the passed week OMG!!
Everytime I lay him down he either wakes up from being unsettled, scratches and scratches the netting on the side of the cot (how loud is that btw), tries to turn over then gets angry when he struggles to roll back and just constantly cries and screams every few hours
He’s still in our room so my partner too gets angry at times and we end up arguing at 3/4am as he gets no sleep either and has an early start
I’m really hoping this regression goes soon
It’s temporary

How long does your baby nap for? My girl gets worse at night if she’s not slept enough throughout the day. We have tried to drop to 2 x naps but she just isn’t ready and made her really cranky.
She sleeps 1 x 30/40 minute nap in the morning, a long 1.5 hour one early afternoon and 30 minutes around 4:30.

I feel like we’ve hit every regression going. After the 6 month regression he started to sleep 7-7 with a wake around 3 for a quick bottle but within the last week his sleep has been awful again. Went down at 7 last night but awake within an hour hysterically screaming and just can’t settle him. Ended up having to take him downstairs where we played for a bit and then tried another bottle. He was awake until 10 and still woke for his 3am bottle!! He only had 2 45 minute naps yesterday and i think when his day sleep is rubbish it makes nights harder.

We’re the same!! Usually a good sleeper (wakes once for a bottle) but past few days it’s been about 5 times a night! Last night she was up at 12, 2, 3, 5 and 6.30 and I’m losing my mind!

My son sleeps 7pm - 6am all the way through… we just make sure he eats, gets changed, and then leave him in his crib.
Teaching him to cry it out was hard, but now he gets put down and gets himself to sleep within 10 minutes. And now during the night, if he wakes up, he gets himself back down almost immediately.

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
