Postpartum dizziness

Hello all 😊 has anyone struggled with postpartum dizzy spells? I’ve been having them since Saturday and it’s driving me mad. They only last a few seconds but I feel a bit sick after them.

I had a gp check up today and she wasn’t concerned, said it could be vertigo or to do with my iron still being low after my haemorrhage (I’m having a blood test to check).

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing it?

Thanks x

Could it be with the heat? Lack of hydration and eating enough? I get parts of it but typically when I haven’t eaten enough X

I did wonder about the heat, as they started on Saturday. I drink about 3L water a day but maybe that isn’t enough with me EBF… I think I’m eating enough though too. Wonder if hayfever can cause dizziness as that has been awful 😂 x

I’m breast feeding too and no amount of water seems to be quenching my thirst.. even before this heat x

yes me too to be honest. I’ll make a conscious effort to drink even more! X

Yeah I’ve been having dizziness and headaches the last few days. Trying to drink more.

glad it isn’t just me x

Yeah I got readmitted to hospital earlier this week as I had preeclampsia and they thought my blood pressure had crashed to too low from the medication. But it was my iron level. It makes me feel so shakey and I started crying from vertigo last night. Have you got some iron tablet to take? X

Avatar

yes I’m on iron tablets already, I think I might need a higher dose but they won’t do that until I have my bloods. I hope you’re okay x

Have they taken your bloods? Those tablets proper block you up as well 😭
I hope they find a solution! I found coconut water and nuts are a good little boost! X

not yet, I’ve had to book a separate appointment for them. They do, I’m living on lactulose 😂 oh really!! Thank you. I’ve been eating a lot of broccoli and steak 😅 x

How does it feel like for
You for me it’s the same it last a few seconds and feels like a swaying motion or just generally so weird like a rush that comes on suddenly and the goes on and off throughout the day some days I don’t have it at all

I would love to hear your thoughts!

What type of birth did you have Andrew you happy you chose it?

Or what type of birth are you looking to have?

Thank you so much Xxx

18w gender scan

Has anyone had a gender scan where the sonographer was about as confident as they could be about baby's gender, then found out it was wrong later? We had a private scan today at 18+1 and we're over the moon but part of me is just scared we will have our anomaly scan in a couple of weeks and be told otherwise!! Sonographer today did seem very confident but I am just anxious 😅

Bump at 7 weeks

Does anyone else have a baby bump early? I'm sucking in to rule out any bloating in the picture.

Mucus plug

I began to lose pieces of my mucus plug yesterday. Today I’m pretty sure the whole thing came out. I’m a bit worried as I’m only 37 weeks.

How soon did you go into labor after losing your mucus plug?

Anomaly scan

Hey my friend was telling me today that they don’t really like people wanting to find out the gender at their anomaly scans. What was everyone else’s experience? We were hoping to have it written down and then find out privately but apparently they won’t do this?
