Hey my friend was telling me today that they don’t really like people wanting to find out the gender at their anomaly scans. What was everyone else’s experience? We were hoping to have it written down and then find out privately but apparently they won’t do this?

I’ve heard too that they won’t write it down for you and think this is pretty common practice.
We found out at a private scan, just asked them to tell us. During our anomaly scan, it was at the very end after she had checked everything if we were hoping to find out the sex. We said we knew, but would like confirmation if possible. She then told us straight away, “well I hope you think it’s a girl!”

NHS scans as a rule won't write it down, they tell you outright or they don't tell you. I believe it's down to liability claims but I might be wrong. If you want it written down/found out a different way you would need to go private 😊 some places do packages where they give you a bundle of decorations, confetti cannons etc so you can find out as a surprise

She asked us if we wanted to know. We said yes and then she just straight up told us 🤷🏽♀️
