I paid $372 with same insurance (PPO)

Oh wow, @Patricia ! I guess I’m not alone then. I got concerned when all my friends told me they didn’t pay anything. Did they asked you to do a scan every 4 weeks?

I pay $40 for every ultrasound appointment, including the anatomy scan - but I have Aetna

I have a different BCBS my ultrasounds are $40 each.

@Lari interesting… appreciate this additional color. I’m not going to even act like I understand how our healthcare bill works. Seems like it’s all over the place.

I would call them and ask them to to explain the costs to you, as well as any upcoming costs that you can expect for the rest of your pregnancy and delivery! Every plan is different and someone who also has BCBS may pay nothing and other may pay a lot - but if you think they made a mistake, definitely check into that!

A lady at my doctors office went through my insurance and gave me a list of the remaining costs that I should be expecting - maybe the financial / insurance person at your doctors office can do the same :)

I have Blue Cross PPO and it was $200

@Lari really great advice. I’ve already left the billing department a voicemail and hope to hear back soon. I hear offices can accidentally incorrectly bill you at times so worth the try

I will have one more ultrasound with a maternal fetal specialist (something was found in my anatomy scan). If everything goes well, I will just have routine appointments ( I don’t pay anything for it)
