First time mum: Prams - Venicci or iCandy?! Help! 🙈

This is our first baby and we are trying to pick out a pram - know we'll need to order soon as we're 24 weeks now and some can take a while to come in

Currently considering Venicci prams (unsure of the best model) and the iCandy Peach 7. Have heard mixed reviews on each so not sure.

Looking for something with:
- good suspension as we like to go on walks on the beach and country parks
- lie flat so we could use downstairs instead of a moses basket
- lightweight and easy to fold up for travelling
- good car seat options - know venicci seems to do their own and icandy pairs with maxi cosi pebble 360 pro

Also would love to hear anything else that you found to be good/bad.

Really appreciate the help!

I haven’t looked much into the Venicci as I personally didn’t like it but I got the icandy peach 7 and I really liked the fact it is approved for safe overnight sleeping - super handy over Christmas if we’re staying for nights away somewhere or with family ect.
Also we went with the pebble 360 pro package and the 360 part is a massive deal breaker for me in terms of a car seat!

We’re going for Icandy peach .. suitable for overnight sleeping and also converts to a double so it’s future proof! Felt so sturdy to and so much included with the package!

I got the icandy peach 7 too !

I've gone for the vennici upline tinium
More for the fact its lighter. I have back issues as it is. It folds pretty flat still with seat base on. And they can sleep in the crib bit on its own.the seat base lays completely flat making it suitable for newborn xx

If you want good suspension, take a look at cybex balios s lux. It's amazing. The suspension sold it for us and the fact the wheels can look of swivel depending on surface type

Thanks so much for all the help so far! We love the look and feel of the iCandy but we're worried about the suspension?

I love how thr iCandy can be used for permanent overnight sleeping if needed but am I right in thinking the Venicci only recommends occasional overnights?

We had been comparing the iCandy with the upline tinum but have just seen there is a new one coming out called the tinum edge. It's really hard to find out any information about how it will compare tho.

What about car seats for both systems?

We went with the icandy peach 7 with the cybex cloud T which has in car decline position too. We fell in love with the icandy straight away tbh so only compared others for a short while, just felt like the icandy covered all bases!

Should I be concerned or am I overthinking?

My little boy is 15 months old, he’s recently taken his first steps and he says mamma and dadda and baba (he has said these for months) we’ve filled out the paperwork for his 12-14 month review and it looks like he isn’t meeting many of his milestones.

He doesn’t copy actions, point, clap etc. He doesn’t react when being spoken to, or to his name. He actively avoids eye contact.

He was so unresponsive to sound that we just had his hearing tested concerned he was deaf. They found that he could hear so he is just choosing not to react to any noises or sounds.

Has anyone else had similar experiences with their little ones? Should I be raising this with the health visitor and ask to be assessed for neurodivergent issue or a social communication problem like autism?

I don’t want to just slap a label on him, but I do feel that there are real concerns. All opinions welcome!!

Routines?

When did you start to introduce your baby’s routine? Do they just have a night routine or full day routine? Wondering when I should start this e.g naps at the same time everyday.

Any routines you have that work for you, please let me know them with timestamps. my baby is 6 weeks and just wondering when we should start them?

Does anyone else’s baby spit up breastmilk but not formula?

I’m seriously considering seeing a lactation consultant because I don’t understand why he can’t hold down breastmilk but can formula. I use soy formula since I’ve used it with my daughter and I’m thinking it might be due to not getting milk coming in for a few days so I had no choice but to give him formula, but now even if I take breaks in between feeding him breastmilk to burp or try to mix breastmilk and formula, he spits it up sooo much. I’m ready to just give him just formula because I’m worried about him not eating enough

Bed time tips for 8 week old

So I literally cannot get my 8 week down to sleep before 11:30pm every night no matter how early we start our routine. We tend to do bath every second night but every night consists of feed, up to bed, into pjs, book, feed to sleep. We could start this routine at 7 and it would still be the case of not selling til 11:30.

She doesn’t nap during the day well, we get a 30 minute in the morning, and a 1 hour in the afternoon only if I’m out the house. She’s never distressed when she’s awake all that time, quite the thing being nosey and having cuddles. She’s EBF and her feeds all through the day are LONG and last from 30-45 mins each feed.

Any tips/advice recommended on how to get to bed earlier or just how to get her to sleep in general.
