When did you start to introduce your baby’s routine? Do they just have a night routine or full day routine? Wondering when I should start this e.g naps at the same time everyday.
Any routines you have that work for you, please let me know them with timestamps. my baby is 6 weeks and just wondering when we should start them?

My bub is 8 weeks and we dont go by a timestamp routine because it just makes things more stressful. But we do have an "order of operations" and it makes life smoother! I think our bedtime routine is the biggest one, we undress him, change his diaper, clean him up (cleaning lint from fingers and toes, swabbing mouth, wet wipe his neck, etc) and then put on a fresh onsie and wrap him up in a blanket. We snuggle for a minute while he gets some wiggles out and settles, then I turn on his sound machine and he will nurse to sleep and I transfer him fo the bassinet. I find it relaxes him and eases him into a very deep sleep. He usually sleeps for 4-5 hours and i leave his sound machine on all night. During the day I nurse him as soon as he wakes up and then we changed his diaper and will cuddle, do tummy time, sing or whatever until hes been awake for an hour/hour and a half and then ill change him again if need be and nurse him again and normally he'll fall asleep shortly after.

It actually works much better if you let the baby determine the routine. A newborn gets tired so quickly that any kind of routine seems impossible, but after awhile you start to notice they are more awake at certain times, and more sleepy during others. So build around it. If they're generally active around 7:30-8 pm, for example, then try to set bedtime for 30-45 minutes after that. Trying to get them to sleep at a specific time is an uphill battle if you're working against their natural rhythm, but once you get a feel for it, then working with them is more like following the current and makes establishing a routine a LOT easier.

Babies don’t tend to recognise routines until at least 4 months. Routines before 6 months are mainly for parents/caregivers tbh.
Follow babies cues and let them lead. They know what they need and are very good at letting you know.
